Book is amazing, my son loves it su much

There seems to be far more explanation than activity in this book, and the activities are not well-thought out. For example, it begins with non-intuitive spelling, and some of the vocab used is beyond 5-6yo level imo.We previously tried 'Writing for Minecrafters' (an unofficial workbook) which was far, far better. I will probably buy more books from that series.

My five year old needed a lot of support with this book, I would say it aimed more at a little older due to the amount of help needed. We still had lots of fun completing the book but did find that he got a bit bored with some of the long parts. I think less text would be a great idea for this book.The book has hearts on harder questions to show the child that they may find a question a little tricky, this is good as it stops the confidence being affected. You are able to 'collect' gems for correct answers which add up and you can use them to exchange on the final pages.Some of the questions were great fun and really got my little ones brain working. The book is good qaulity and the pages are quite thick.
