Well Made Outdoor Light
This was replacement for motion sensor light that had ceased to work effectively. Also needed outside plugins for ornamental lighting and other seasonal use. This light is well made, sturdy and of good quality materials for the money. It is relatively easy to install if replacing an existing unit, otherwise hire an electrician to install a new outlet box. The fixture came assembled in the box but has to be dis-assembled in order to install it. If you are half way handy it should present few challenges, turn off the circuit breaker, remove the existing fixture and note the existing wiring. It should be black to black, white to white and green to the grounding screw. Remove old mounting hardware, install new mount to the box and then connect the wires using the included wire nuts. You may have to play with mounting screws that fit to the light fixture to get the installed fixture tight to the existing wall but it is a matter of trial and error if necessary. The hardest part is getting both screws to fit thru the holes from the back as you push the fixture into place. The rotating bracket that allows leveling of the fixture is designed to fit one way with the narrow end of the bracket going next to the internal electrical box. If you get it backwards it will not fit and you will go nuts trying to figure it out. It may be necessary to bend the bracket slightly to get the proper spacing for the mounting screws to fit thru the holes in the fixture, but take your time and go easy and it will work. The fixture looks good installed and once you seal around the periphery with some silicone caulk it will be highly water resistant and provide years of light and plug ins for other uses.

porch light with outlets
Pretty straight-forward installation if you've ever done a fixture before. Instructions are weak. I needed to borrow another set of hands to hold fixture while I did the wiring. That's pretty typical. Bulb on bright isn't as bright as I'd like but it'll work. I was replacing floodlights so I'm spoiled. Fixture wiggles a bit on the wall even though I've tightened everything. Sliding door covering outlets is spring loaded to close. It is NOT waterproof while in use. That doesn't matter in a porch situation as it's covered. I like the choice of settings. Figure out what you want for settings before installations as they're on the top and impossible to see once fixture is up.

It has its Pros and Cons ...mostly good though
We recently bought an outdoor misting fan for our Pergola porch but had to find a way to supply it power without sacrificing our porch light. Rather than having it hardwired in with gaudy conduit tubing etc, we decided to buy a light that had an AC oulet built in. Its been a few days since my husband installed this light (and fan) for me, so far things are okay. I did a lot of research and read quite a few customer reviews on several outdoor lights before finally choosing this particular light. It seemed to fit our needs, the price was right and it provided the most "Bang for our Buck" compared to others that I had looked at. The style and size of this one worked well, it wasn't too big or too small in comparison to my nearby door and window (see images). The housing on the light feels like powder coated metal and it has little glass (shatterproof i think) etched panels. The incandescent bulb it came with was a nice touch. It gave off a beautiful amber light but it also put off a lot of heat. Easy fix though, replaced it with a dimmable LED bulb that matched perfectly. Love the 3 functions it offers BUT really wish the Dusk to Dawn feature worked in tandem with the other 2 modes. I feel it's kind of a waste when the light comes on in broad daylight whenever the motion sensor detects movement. I've been turning it off at the light switch each morning but of course this renders the AC outlet on the side of the light useless. If I want to use my outdoor fan which is plugged into the AC oulet then I have to either remove the bulb or change the mode to Dusk to Dawn. Changing the modes is a bit tricky for me, it involves a step ladder, tiny screwdriver and a magnifying glass. As you can see from the images, theres not alot of room for me to work with when it comes to changing the modes on the top of the light, so I try not to mess with it. I still need to silicone around the base of the light to make it more stable/tight against the wall, think thats due to the odd mounting bar placement in the back of the light. My husband struggled a bit with the installation but that was due to a design flaw. One of the fixed screws for the mount is tucked behind the internal electrical box for the AC outlet. You basically have to go at an angle to get the mount to catch so the screws line up. Also, the mounting bar was designed to allow minor left or right rotation after the lights in place. Guess thats more for making sure it looks straight but unfortunately this means it wont stay straight unless you silicone it in. I figure the light needs it for keeping moisture and bugs out of the back panel anyway, so guess its not really an issue.Basically, I'm pretty pleased with my new light. It not only provides the power source I need for my fan but its attractive and blends in well with our patio decor......the 3 modes are a nice added touch too. Sure, it has a few design flaws but overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase..... Hope my review helps

Best outdoor light!
I love this outdoor light. If you don't have an outside plug is ideal for you because it has one built in.

Pretty and Solid Porch Light
I was impressed at how solid the light felt considering the economical price. LOVE the settings under the top which protects it from the elements over time. The only reason I did not give a 5 for ease of installation and over all is the instructions were not clear that the larger bracket must be on the blank side of the interior of the box. I could get the left side to line up, but not the right. When I flipped the bracket, they both lined up on the first try.I bought the motion detecting dusk to dawn light for the door outside my office where my dogs are crated. Neighborhood cats come on the patio to get water in the middle of the night and get the dogs wound up waking the whole house. I hope that the light coming on will scare them away before the dogs see them and we can all sleep through the night.
