Born to jeweler parents in South America, jewelry artist Vanessa Mellet had an early interest in artistic design and adornment. Today, she handcrafts jewelry from her California studio, still inspired by the vivid colors, traditional costumes, and natural surroundings of her formative years. Her work embodies a romantic view of life, influenced by organic forms of nature while retaining a style of modern bohemian chic. Working with solid silver castings of her own design, she intricately adorns the Upscale Bohemian Earrings with sterling silver droplets and natural gemstones. A 12mm teardrop of pretty pink-dyed freshwater-cultured pearl anchors the elegant design, accented with additional dangling freshwater-cultured pearls dyed light pink, green peridot stone, and a rosette of hand-painted glass enamel.
