I use them mainly for viewing the computer screen because they cut out the blue portion of the spectrum and therefore glare. When I take them off to get up from the computer the white background of the screen seems blinding - which shows how effective they are. After several hours of screen time I feel no eye strain. However, they are a little heavy and cut into the bridge of the nose somewhat - after all, they are built for construction work and are constructed to provide impact protection. Because they cut all the light in the blue spectrum they provide a darker view of things than the Blue Tech lenses, which cuts out only a portion of the blue spectrum.
