Well-made, well designed bench, DVM
I’ve been using DVM’s for more than 50 years. I have worked In commercial labs and test systems. I have used some of the highest and an accurate equipment made. It is nice to see a reasonably priced laboratory grade DVM in this price range. I only wish that it would power on and boot up faster than it does.

Great product and comes with certificate of calibration
For the price you cant beat this product, it looks great, is sturdy and measures with great accuracy, obviously for more precision your going to have to fork out some more money but if your doing that kind of work you probably aren't looking into this product or at least I hope your not, as you probably have a bad understanding of the necessary electronics to handle great precision and big ranges, at the same time, things like that don't come cheap. The LCD screen is great and has an easy to use menu and allows viewing measurements over a period of time rather than just the current value. I do wish it was LAN capable but I also understand that Siglent have to make money somehow and entice you into buying their higher end products so I'm not mad it would just be nice to have. The certificate of calibration is great because you know its measuring correctly and up to standards right out of the box and can be recalibrated in the future, if its off just recalibrate unlike some really cheap electronics that when not measuring correctly are just broken and useless.

The bench meter I've always wanted.
It works well. I've always wanted a decent bench meter, but never wanted to take the plunge, That is, until a friend gifted me a Siglent scope. I was so impressed with it that I decided to try a bench meter from them. I'm glad I did. It's easy-to-use, and a real value for the money.

Perfection !!
Siglent Meters are good value with excellent features. The 2U half rack size is perfect. Looks sharp. We wish they included LCR (Coils, Capacitors and Resistance) ECM and Frequency testing and measurements on their meters with all the features of the EE-5000. I still use an 70 year old Eico 350B for 450v Electrolytics.

Bright clear screen that is easy to read
I already had a good Fluke handheld, but the LCD screen always seemed to be at the wrong angle or in the way on the bench because it had to be close to what you were trying to measure. I have this on a shelf above the workbench and the big display is easy to read at any angle. An added bonus is that it is the same form factor as the Siglent signal generator and the two stack together with interlocking bumpers on the corners. Very well designed.

Dead on arrival
I recently purchased a new O'scope. I finally decided on a Siglent. Differing views on quality made it a bit of a decision. But, the unit was actually better than expected and side by side with on old Rigol of similar specs, it was easier to use and seems to have all the features I need. So, I decided to add a new DMM and chose another Siglent. Based on the o'scope I figured it would be a safe choice and I did less research. Came on time, looked good on the bench. Plugged it in, hit the on button and the Siglent logo came up just like the O'scope. But, like a deadbeat relative or a stray cat, the logo never left. It just stared at me until the screen saver kicked in and let me look at a black screen instead of the logo.Research quickly indicated that others have that issue. Firmware update was not possible--could not get to the screen to do that. Not wanting to send a brand new unit back to Siglent as they wanted, I sent it back to Amazon.Might be a good machine, but there seems to be a known issue relating to the boot failure. My old GW/Instek is gonna have to hang in there for a little while until I decide what I really want. With a 50/50 good/bad on Siglent, I am going to tread carefully if I go that direction.

Love this thing
I've always wanted a bench meter, I guess too cheap to get one before. My desk had a ton of hand held units, but I love going back to this DM. Very accurate, and allows you to set acquisition speed (slow, medium, fast) for various speed and precision.
