Some of the questions I had prior to purchasing were:How big is the insertion opening of the shelf? The opening measures 17.5 inches.Can you put a door on this? Yes, you'll have to make it a DIY type project though as the opening is 17.5 inches.Are the dowels that hold the shelves together when stacked sturdy? Kind of. I personally feel that the two dowel holes they use are not enough and I added another dowel to the back corner.I love the "leveling feet" that come with these shelves. Although, I did use my car jack to further assist with getting the shelves, not just level, but STURDY (only lift the shelves about 1/8 of an inch at a time). A shelf can be level and still not be sturdy, my shelves do not wiggle at all now.The shelve opening height is great; can fit a King size comforter and two pillows next to it onto a shelf. (If you have a super thick comforter you may only be able to get the comforter alone on the shelf.)One thing I noticed while putting the shelving together is there are several pieces of advisement throughout the manual that indicate the shelving may be top heavy, meaning there's a chance it could fall over because of the weight on the top of the shelf; make sure you use the wall anchors.Overall I am currently happy with these shelves.

The media could not be loaded.  I did all of this on my own! This kit makes it so easy to do everything! I can't believe how cool it all looks!!! I hoped this would be a good investment... This was an AMAZING investment! DOUBLED our storage space, if not tripped! I'll attach before and afters... Could be better for the money spent on each one i have one week of using them and one of the drawers is not soft to close anymore it gets stuck

Such a good deal and we were able to customize it to best suit our closet doors I love it

This must be a mistake made during the assembly, these screws are the wrong size and there are 16 of them. Running to the store now and hope to find the replacements!

Had to return because the piece these would’ve attached to arrived broken.

This really went well with the closet organizer I had installed. I was able to install the drawer myself since the instructions were clear and the holes pre-drilled. So glad I ordered this!

Much larger and deeper than I anticipated. Nice piece for storage but best for a bigger closet. Almost too deep could forget things are in the back. I stacked two and it’s pretty massive. It came with the box beat up bad and I couldn’t get to putting it together for a couple months. I expected it to be damaged and one box did have a cracked back support and no hardware (probably fell out of the large hole in the box) but the company was extremely easy to file a report and I got replacements within a couple days. They were fantastic to deal with. All-in-all great quality, very large for the money, and nice for organizing.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this to use with the 16” symphony closet system. It was really easy to install, took about 15 mins to put 2 of them together. The drawer is pretty deep which is nice. I wouldn't say it’s the best quality out there but it’s sturdy and doesn’t seem like it’s going to fall apart. I did end up changing the chrome handle to a gold one to match my decor. If you want to change the handle you will need pulls that are 6-1/4” centre to centre. The drawers fit perfectly in the unit and slide smoothly. Overall I’m happy with my purchase

The entire closetmaid system is TERRIBLE. Had we not been over half way through our assembly (with many holes in the wall) we would have returned all parts. The rails are 4 shades whiter than the shelves, and the shelves are shallower than the main structure, meaning if you line the shelves up, you can’t use the back supporting bracket. The number or returns and exchanges it took to get a half functioning system was not worth the haste or money. Steer clear of anything closet maid.

I ordered the 25" tower along with these 10" drawers and installed the completed unit in a guest room closet. Great solution for storage and eliminates the need for a stand alone dresser. Having installed drawer hardware previously, I was worried about how difficult it would be and how they would align. Their system of using the pre-drilled holes however, worked perfectly, and they are even "soft close." Very happy with the end product.

Complete waste of money. Shelves don’t line up properly with brackets and central unit, without everything being askew. Have returned and exchanged so many defective parts I should be billing closetmaid for fuel at this point. Entire system is a complete waste of money. Avoid at all costs.

Good product. Heavy gauge steal. Used it to mount a board between two cabinets to place the microwave on. Also used them to put up floating corner shelves on cabinets. I used a grinder and cut one in half to use as the back brace . I would recommended it
