Accurate measurements and easy to use
After going through quite a few kitchen scales over the past few years, I decided to try a professional scale in the hope it would be more durable and longer-lasting. So far I'm really impressed - it was easy to set up, the silver plate detaches for easier cleaning, its proven to be accurate with measurements. I also really like the option to use either batteries or a cable for the power source. Its not too bulky either which makes for easier storage.

A weight off my mind.
A set of scales easy to use that do an excellent job and didn't cost the Earth. David Briscombe.

Not Great for Small Quantities
I really wanted to love this. It is a solid build and looks good on the kitchen top and is easy enough to tare and has a good sized surface to weigh items. It switches from grams to ounces easily at the press of a button. My issue arises from its accuracy from small sized items. As can be seen in the images, the difference can by between 14g and 23g depending on where on the surface you are weighing. Granted you will likely weigh in the centre, and as a percentage, larger heavier items will be less affected. However, if you're super keen on your macros for nutrition or for people with diabetes carbohydrate counting, this could be a minor issue.I've knocked off only 1 star for this, as overall it works well enough.

Seems accurate, nice big easy-read scale, high 10kg capacity
This is a sturdy-looking scale. It is slightly larger than my previous one, but still relatively compact for a home kitchen. It comes with a mains power adaptor (which plugs in to the socket on the side, shown in my photo), but I am using mine on two AAA cells (see other photo for where they go, and for scale) because I want to be able to put the scale away in a drawer after use and don't want to be plugging it in and unplugging it all the time. When I first tried it I thought there was a fault with it because the reading changed as I sat and waited, but I then realised there was one extra piece of cardboard packaging that I had failed to remove from underneath the weighing tray on top, and now this has been removed the readings are rock solid and consistent. The scale does have a calibration mode if you need it, but you will require access to three standard weights in order to use this (500g, 5kg and 10kg). It arrives pre-calibrated, so you should not need to bother with this. The scale itself is stable and the tray on top is sturdy and easy to clean. My only one criticism, if pushed, is that the display itself does not have as high a contrast level as I would have expected, with the LCD digits appearing grey rather than dark black. But in the lighting in my kitchen the weight readings remain easy to read – it's just that they would have been clearer still with darker digits. As far as features go, it has all the usual features (see video). A single press of the power button to turn on, with a 3s long-press to turn off, auto power-off when on battery power (which can be disabled if required), tare, and also a 15s "hold" facility, which I will never use, but some might.A good solid and accurate scale for serious cooks.
