Well, the claim is that they are - I have no laboratory means of testing to verify. The salts are great and I have ordered several flavors a few different times and am satisfied. If you're actually that curious whether the salts are truly from Hawaii, I would recommend you contact the maker or the vendor directly. It sure doesn't fit as a question for me. Good luck with that.

Q: Taste vs regular unrefined sea salt?

To me, this doesn't taste much different from regular sea salt. I was hoping for a much more prominent black lava taste.

They are a medium coarseness and could be used either directly or put into a salt mill/grinder for a finer consistency.

Q: Is this a fine ground? Also can u get this in a shaker bottle?

This is a medium coarse salt and the jar you see in what we sell it in. It's a wide opening which makes it very easy to pinch just the right amount!!
