Great idea, poor quality execution
The bottom part of this seat is not solid, or was not when I bought one a few years ago. They made it more cheaply by having hollow portions which can be seen when you lift it. The whole thing is made thin and cheap. If I'm buying a toilet seat, whatever the features, I want it solid and sturdy, not the quality you'd expect from a kids' sand toy set. I wasn't impressed with the cheesy potty training booklet that came with it, either.

I thought it would be awesome.
When i started potty training my son i thought this product was genius. Installing it was a little difficult. My son could sit on it very well. But when he sits down to go poo poo, and then pees, the pee comes out the cracks. So i'm always having to clean up pee every time he goes poo poo. The piece of plastic that comes down that's supposed to block the pee pee should be longer, and then this would be perfect.

Potty Pal Review
I was so excited to purchase this potty. My son was still using the seat from his baby potty chair and putting it on the big potty (so he didn't fall in.) When I saw this, I thought it would be wonderful because I could get rid of that extra little seat that was probably a germ bank. I think the idea is great if you purchase it while your child is still potty training and doesn't have a preconceived notion of what a potty should feel like. My son used it for a month (I insisted on "giving it your best shot"), and he was consistant in saying that it hurt is bottom. Sure enough, he would have a pretty red ring when he stood up. My son is slight of build, and is not very heavy. However, he does enjoy a good "bathroom" magazine, so he sits for a good 5 minutes. Another thing to consider in my review is that he has always used a padded child's seat. This may have led to a tender bum bum. Who knows, but I will be taking it off, giving it a good home at a friends house, and purchasing another cushy seat to replace the one I threw away.

POTTY WITH PRIDE
My grand daughter is so proud of her big girl potty seat. I would have given it a rating of 5 but she said the rim hurts her.

Seriously -- you need this.
OH so much nicer than having to constantly remove the icky training seat. I promise you, it's worth it!!!! Now your little one can have his or her own little seat handy at any moment. Seriously -- you need this. Didn't have it for potty training kid #1; truly appreciated it with kid #2! The kids' seat is made of hard, molded plastic, just like the regular toilet seat, rather than a foam padded seat like many of the training seats. This means it's easy to wipe off and clean! The foam seats get gross and have seams where *anything* can get into the foam...ick! This seat is comfortable for adults and toddlers alike, and is so much more hygienic.

Flimsy
One of the flimsy plastic hinges was broken when we received this seat and the other broke while taking it out of the box. The only good thing I can say about this seat is that it came with a step stool which we still use. For my second purchase, I decided to go with the "Family Seat" made of MDF and am much happier. The material is more durable, the hinges are stronger, and I am going to buy another one for our second bathroom.

Great idea - not comfortable
The concept is great. Love not having to bother with a seat that comes off and sit on my bathroom floor. A few problems though. First is that because of the shape of the seat, when the kids sit for more than two minutes (and most kids do) they end up with a really bad ring around their entire butt which is painful. Also, the "white" is not really white but more of a yellowist tint to it.

Great idea!
We have 2 potty-training grandsons, and a tiny bathroom. There really wasn't room for their little potty, or to store a pop-on pop-off trainer seat. This new toilet seat is brilliant. It's built in 3 sections, instead of the usual 2. First the lid, then a small-holed kiddy seat, then the adult seat. The babies can sit comfortably on the kiddy seat without being afraid of falling through, and can keep doing so for as long as it takes for their little bottoms to grow into the grown-up seat. And you just flush the waste away, it doesn't have to be scrubbed out of a separate potty!!! When the kiddy seat isn't in use, it flips up neatly into the lid, leaving a normal adult seat for the rest of us. And the boys really enjoy climbing onto the big potty! Very glad I found this, its just what we needed.
