Life saver
When we got our 7lb cat, we assumed she would be low maintenance. In some ways, we were correct, but when it comes to matters regarding her litter box.. we were dead wrong. This cat can poop. It seems scientifically impossible that what we find in that litter box comes out of her. We went through countless plastic scoopers, and they all broke under the stress of our sweet Effy’s waste. We knew something had to be done.Purchasing this bad boy has changed the game of litter box cleaning for us. This thing is sturdy. Worth every cent. Perfect for Effy’s “special needs”. Highly recommend.

Amazing!
I have never in my life enjoyed scooping poop as much as I do with this scooper. It has truly changed my life for the better. Grandpa fought the great war, some of the tools that he brought back with him are such high quality and this little gym gem looks like it was found in the trenches. It's so overbuilt and wonderful it is truly made of a equality I thought we had lost in todays world. It's good to know that when you wrap your hands around the rubber handle you could scoop poop, you could dig a trench, or you could use it as a weapon. I truly love my pooper scooper.

Huge but in a good way
Ok. When I got the poop scooper I was floored. It is big. However, it works and will continue to do so for years to come. The handle is perfect. I have arthritis in my hands and I can heft the biggest pee ball my cat has to offer. The litter actually strains out of the scoop and is clean....I mean no little bits of waste at all. This is going to save me bucks just on litter alone. The angled openings actually work. I have had cats all my life and I have never gone for a plastic scoop. It is light weight metal, and bar none, the best scooper I have had. The only downside which is also the upside is size. Who cares! It saves a ton of time not having to dig looking for the poos and puddles. Get one.

Built to last, but with a SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW
Updated:I've been using this scoop for a couple months now, and I wanted to update my review with one issue that was not apparent to me at first:The slotted 'basket' is joined to the handle at a bad (i.e. non-ergonomic) angle. What happens is that when you go to collect the poop and then lift the scoop, you have to dip the handle very far downward, sometimes even into the litter itself. Basically, the angle is all wrong. This makes it a lot harder to scoop the litter -- both annoying, and stressful on the wrist and forearm (especially since the metal scoop is itself so heavy). This is actually a big deal, which is why I'm lowering my rating to 3-stars from 5-stars. Still, a metal scoop is better than all the plastic ones I've used, all of which have eventually broken.Original review:There are only two minor issues I have with this scoop, and neither takes away from giving it 5-stars:1. It is quite heavy. I will get used to it, but my forearm definitely feels it.2. The hole at the end of the handle is so small that a standard #6 drywall screw cannot fit through to hang it. So, I had to get a little screw hook that would fit. Now, on to the good stuff:This scoop just works, and is incredibly beefy construction. The soft handle is vey comfortable. Another positive is that the leading edge of the scoop is *flat*, and doesn't have any vertical 'teeth' -- some other scoops have a busier design, and that makes them much more likely to trap sticky litter/poop, and much harder to then clean the scoop when needed. The simple design/construction of this scoop keeps it very clean, and when it's finally necessary to clean the scoop itself, that's very easy to do.

This is definitely worth the purchase if you are fed up with the plastic versions!
I foolishly bought a litter scoop from the dollar store and quickly realized why I saw scoops in the store for much more money. I searched online to find a scoop that would hopefully sift through the litter without me being afraid of breaking the handle or flinging a scoopful of dirty litter in my face as it got stuck in a pile of you know what. This scoop was the cheapest one I saw that was metal (there was no way I was going to risk buying a plastic scoop online). I figured it was worth a try. When it arrived I was actually excited to try it out. It is very sturdy and there is no way this is going to bend like the cheap dollar store scoop. It works well and even gets the clumps of pee stuck on the bottom off with minimal effort. Sometimes the tiny poo clumps get stuck in the holes, but it's better than stabbing it with the jagged edges of the other scoop and ending up with little poo nuggets stuck to the tips. I just use the bag to push them out.I'd recommend everyone get rid of the plastic scoops and opt for a metal one like this.

Great scooper
This is a very sturdy comfortable scooper. I was tired of using the cheap plastic one I had which took forever as it hardly held anything and the "items would fall off the mound of litter as I was trying to sift. This just grabs a bunch and sifts quick. The other one was uncomfortable and flimsy, this one is very sturdy and comfortable. You can see how much bigger it is than the one I had. With it's sturdiness you can push through the litter and heavy clumps whereas the plastic one would bend and you had to be careful not to fling or break the scooper. Stuff also tends to stick much less on this one than the other.

large and cumbersome
I disliked this as soon as I got it but tried it anyway. It's actually very large, which makes it cumbersome to use. The metal is thick so it's actually really hard to scrape the sides of the litter box. It's curved which makes that scraping difficult also. The slots in the scoop itself are quite large so pieces do fall through easily. I ended up just going to the pet store and buying a cheap new plastic scoop I disliked this so much. Save the money and get a cheap plastic one. They are easier and better to use.

Best pooper scooper EVER!!
Why review a cat poop scoop? Because if you are still using the plastic ones you need to stop NOW!! This scoop is AMAZING!! The litter doesn't stick to the scoop. It can scrape the bottom of the pan and get everything up. Yes, $10 is a lot for a pooper scooper but you will not regret it.

Really good scoop
I always used those typical $1 plastic scoops. After breaking a couple I decided to get a proper one. The reviews on this scoop were really good so I went ahead and bought it, and it has definitely helped me a lot when I clean my cat's box. I am not scared about breaking it and it really takes a lot of waste in just 1 scoop, so it takes me much less time to clean her box. Really happy with the purchase.

Don't waste your time with those flimsy plastic scoops!
I have two litter boxes; one that is rectangular and another larger one, that is oddly shaped with difficult corners to maneuver. The long handle of this scoop makes it sturdy, easy to use and gets in those corners no problem. I really wish I knew about this thing sooner. It has literally halved my cleaning time.Honestly, even if you have just one cat, invest in this scoop. You'll thank yourself and me (for this extremely helpful and well written review that helped you make the right decision) later.

Better than the Plastic Scoops
The scoop is strong and is able to break up the concrete-like clumps my cat leaves in the box. My only complaint is the holes / slots in the scoop are a little large making it difficult to pick out the smaller pieces of litter.

The Best
This is the best cat litter scoop I have ever used. I don't feel like it is going to snap (like the plastic ones) when trying to scrape the concrete like stuff off the bottom. I can certainly recommend this cat litter scoop.
