SOMETHING WILDER

a fun read
Whoa! This was one heck of an action packed ride into the canyons on a treasure hunt with attraction sizzling and second chance love palpating in the pages of the book. Lily and Leo were gentle and nerdy, but extremely tough, proving their fortitude in each lap of their journey to hidden treasure. They made me believe in love. There was something tender about them even when they were shrouded in misunderstandings. I loved the deep empathy and understanding that Leo showed this time around.Though a romance, the prose concentrated more on maps, clues, ciphers, codes, riddles, and bits of puzzles, that called out to my sense of adventure. The dynamic duo of authors made a giddying leap into the action genre where the good were followed by a rogue of cowboys.Treasure hunt was well weaved into the main plot line where good research had been done to sound authentic.More zing in the dialogues could have been added.A mind-boggling treasure hunt in the Wild Wild West complete with action and danger and guns. Absolute fun.

Enjoyable but it is more of a women's fiction than a rom com
Something Wilder is an easy read with an exciting treasure hunt, and several memorable quotes. But it isn’t a rom com, and the romance part is also not developed to its true potential. So, you will enjoy it if you are looking for a heartfelt story with a thrilling adventure. However, if you are looking for a rom com then you will be disappointed.

Just in love
This is such a good, fun, non stop adventure of a romance and I loved every page. I'm really bad for skipping to the end for spoilers when my attention starts to wander but this is one of few books where that didn't happen, I just blazed straight through, almost in one sitting. What I think is done very well is the honesty and emotional bravery of the characters - there is true understanding between them. I also loved the father/daughter relationship and I like to think that clue was a fatherly seal of approval.

One wild, wild adventure of a book.
4/5 stars. I'm always impressed with Christina Lauren books, and this one didn't fail to maintain that reputation. This book was happy, sad, heartbreaking, unnerving and exciting, all wrapped into one. I felt like I was on the edge of my seat during some parts, and felt like I wanted to fight for the characters' sakes. A very good read that I'd highly reccomend, with some loveable characters too - can we just take a moment to appreciate Leo...

Making Adventure Sexy Again
THIS BOOK.As a longtime Christina Lauren fan, I’ve experienced their entire library and the bookworm in me has always been well-fed. Then this book comes along, and it feels like I was starving. Something Wilder is a sexy adventure filled with strong female characters, CLo’s signature witty dialogue, all topped off with intrigue and a treasure hunt in Utah’s stunning desert landscape. For not being their norm, Christina and Lauren have struck gold in their first foray in adventure romance, evoking nostalgia for the love stories in Indiana Jones and Romancing the Stone while leaving us exhilarated by the thrill of the hunt.
