Westinghouse66242 6624200 Two-Light Semi-Flush-Mount Interior Ceiling Fixture, Finish with White Glass

I hated my square light covers in 2 of my bedrooms, but knew it would be a hassle to have someone come over and replace the whole fixture (since i can’t do it myself) so i turned to amazon for an alternative! I read other reviews saying these worked perfect for the older light fixtures, and they truly do! I originally ordered one to make sure it worked and then the day after receiving the first one i ordered the second one i needed! I will say, the first one came packaged safely and looked new. The second one appeared to be a return because the box wasn’t fully closed and the glass cover had what looked like a dirt smudge from a hand. It took a magic eraser to get the dirt off, but you cannot see any imperfections in it now that it’s installed.

Used only the cover from this to replace the ugly square generic covers/shades also made by Westinghouse. I did NOT use the fixture. The square ones looked like something that belonged in grandma's house. These are much nicer. Unfortunately they are not super deep so in a low room on my old 3 light fixtures you can see the lights peak out the top as you walk in. But still better than the squares. It was worth the low cost, and the best option I could find. I also tried another round brand here on Amazon that was just shades, but it was way too shallow and I had to return it.

These light fixtures are just what I was looking for. They are simple, delicate and modestly classy. They also make the ceiling look higher. The price is great and they are good Westinghouse quality. Everything was included for easy installation and there is even an "Owner's Manuel," in three languages, with a very clear drawing. I am very happy with the aesthetics, price ($8) and quality. Unfortunately, the design does not allow for average sized low consumption light bulbs. I had to find two compact spiral 15 Watt bulbs instead of the one longish 20 Watt I had. A simple design change like lengthening the stem between the "socket" and the "nipple" could remedy this. If it wasn't for this I would give it five stars.

I needed a ceiling light fixture and didn't want decorative, because I wanted it to fade into the surroundings when not in use, and who stares at a light when it's on anyway? It is fairly flimsy as has been mentioned, and you can see the tops of the bulbs over the glass. Mine had no instructions, but it was easy enough to figure it out, although I could have used a third hand when putting the glass together. If the ceiling has flaws, this will amplify them more than a dome light or a recessed light. However, it works for a tight budget.

Really good product. I love how it comes with a light fixture as well. I'm redoing my living room so I thought this dish would add to the overall aesthetics of the room. Sadly, I need to install the light fixture it comes with to use the dish as the already installed fixture's lights are a bit lower so it touch's the dish when I tried to install it. Great price too! It came without any damage (I was worried it might) and best of all, its on Prime!

This fixture isn't bad but it isn't good. It's inexpensive so I suppose it's to be expected.The main problem I have is the dish hangs relatively low to the base and when viewed from the side you can clearly see the base with it's screws, the steel support as well as the top of the bulbs. When standing in a room and looking at a ceiling fixture you don't want to see the hardware and bulbs. My ceiling is about 8 feet tall, perhaps if you have a 10 foot ceiling or higher the angle would be better (and would hide the base, screws and bulbs).

Very basic and simple, have them in 3 different rooms in my house.

NO VISIBLE BULBS AND WIRESI like it. It's simply to install and above all, it's much cheaper than at your hardware store where you pay 3 times more.

The look is clean not the same quality we are used to. we have to be cautious with lights touching the cover. Wish all smaller lights would fit but they don’t.
