A Sunny Place For Shady Characters: Tales from St. Barth's "Le Select" Bar

Of course the entire Caribbean is full of such stories and like characters. Randy probably knows them all
Saint Barthelemy Island, known as St Barts, is certainly unique and, therefore, exceptional. The people who live and work on the island, and the live-aboard sailors who attach to the island, are certainly fascinating characters. Randy West is one of those unique characters, and the stories he tells faithfully captures the culture. Randy's writing style adds to the feeling and flavor of St Barts. While reading the book, I felt that I was reading letters from Randy regaling me with observations in his daily life. Anybody who has visited the island should read this book because it will re-emerge you into this special place. Of course the entire Caribbean is full of such stories and like characters. Randy probably knows them all. However, St Barts, as presented by Randy, is the home base of that culture. Only Randy could write this book.

Fun read especially if you have spent time in St Barts.
Another fascinating tome from Mr. West. Based again on, personal experiences in exotic places, he tells a great story. Fun if not completely believable characters, exist in that little island paradise called St Barts. If you have spent any time there you will recognize the Le Select and maybe even some of the people, even if they are no longer there. Its a fun read and you hope Mr. West has more in his back pocket for us.
