Making Brothers and Sisters Best Friends

Great Family Read
We've read this book after supper as a family twice over the past 5 years. The companion coloring books were great for my 8, 6, and 4 year olds, and they older 4 boys found the book interesting. Stephen's section and the cartoons were their favorite parts.

Excellent book!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It is targeted toward young people and gives practical and biblical guidelines for becoming best friends with your siblings within the Christian home. The three sibling authors give plenty of real life experiences and Scriptural examples, and they all have a fun and engaging way of writing. The cartoon drawings are cute and hilarious and really make the book come alive! This should be required reading for every Christian young person with brothers and sisters. With sections in each chapter written by a 22-year-old, 16-year-old, and 12-year-old, itโs geared toward children, teenagers, and young adults alike. It is neither too childish for older readers, nor too advanced for young readers. There is something here for all ages to learn from and enjoy. The keys to changing your family relationships are all in this book! Parents will benefit by reading this book as well, and it would also make a wonderful family read-aloud. This book really impacted me!

No Formula; Just Priorities
I wasn't sure what to expect with this book. I did not buy it because of any immediate conflict in our home. Rather, I wondered if something weren't absent in spite of a relatively calm year. I love that this is written by siblings out of a concern for other families who do not get along or see each other as friends. They live a very conservative lifestyle. Yet, there's no hint of superiority or a secret formula to follow. Their testimony and advice are simple, strong, humorous, and grounded in the gospel of Christ. Their dad's illustrations make it even more engaging. We read this aloud for homeschool. My teens and I enjoyed it and learned a lot from the Mally family.

Sent it to my niece to help with her kids' sibling issues. It was very enjoyable for the family to read but in her case it was not the magic bullet. We were all impressed that it was written by the kids as well.

Great subject, great book!
We are not through the whole book yet, but we are working through this with our two oldest (our youngest is still a baby). The kids enjoy the fact that it was written by the kids, and find the stories very enjoyable. This is very easy to relate to, and it has opened their eyes to many aspects of their relationship. We pray that with God's guidance and a help from this book, our kids will learn that they can be the very best of friends!

Helping us to be more thoughtful and aware
We have 7 children between the ages of 7 months and 12 years old. My husband and I have been very burdened with how much bickering and selfishness we have been seeing in our home. Though this book is not magic, and is not teaching us anything startlingly new, and much of it is simply using God's Word to open our eyes, I still am finding this book to be very helpful. We read a few pages each morning before we start our school for the day, and sometimes have a bit of discussion, and a time of prayer. It is good to be "chewing" on this topic each morning before starting our day together.

Wonderful Family Centered Book
I thought this was a wonderful book. It is well written, especially considering the ages of the authors. It has lots of practical advice for brothers and sisters along with interesting stories and every chapter is related to a story in the bible that applies. This would be a great book for a family to read aloud together. The book is geared towards older readers and it would have been nice if they had included ideas for younger children. Overall I think this is in excellent book for Christian Families looking to improve relationships between children.

Definitely worth reading!!
When I first bought this book I was under the impression that it would give me (the parent) tips on how to make both my young daughters become best friends now and into the future. Instead it is a book that I will require them to read as they get older because it is a book more from their perspective. It was a great read, and I still got some really good tips. I am still struggling with how to implement all of the ideas in the book while my girls go to public school.

This is a must read if you have multiple children.
This book is great because itโs written by siblings. It carries much more weight than adults writing it. We read it with our kids and it was great.
