Out of all the corkscrew styles ever made, the waiter's corkscrew, with a double-action lever like this one, is the best for effortlessly removing corks from most wine bottles. Out of probably ten or twelve of this style corkscrew that we've used, this one is simply the best.Why? the finish is smooth as silk, the entire tool is sturdy and sure, and the double-action lever works perfectly. More importantly, unlike many brands, the entire handle and lever open flat into a straight line, as shown in the photo. Some brands don't open all the way into a "T" shape, and feel uncomfortable in the hand when twisting the screw into the cork.The screw itself is coated to easily twist into the cork. The handle is curved perfectly to fit your hand - mine are extra large and it feels natural - and the finish is prefect.In total, we have maybe 30-40 corkscrews, ranging from antiques to electric gadgets to dual-wing-style and even air pumps. This one works best of any we own. The leather case is a nice touch and makes a perfect gift for any wine lover.
