BakerdaleLarge Bench/Dough/Cake Scraper, Icing Smoother Spreader, 10-inch Long Stainless Steel Blade, with white Polypropylene Handle

It’s good. But it’s heavy. That’s my only complaint. I have to keep taking breaks because my hand cramps up. But it’s kind of sharp so you will have to be careful on your round cakes.

I bought the Bakerdale Large Bench / Dough / Cake Scraper, Icing Smoother Spreader for one reason and one reason only,: to cut marshmallow. I make our own marshmallows and cutting them was a nightmare since they are so sticky. I tried a knife but it more like teared it than cut it, even though the knife was sharp and I put oil on it before cutting. They also weren't straight and pulled out of shape. I figured I would try this since 10" is plenty long enough for my 8" pan of marshmallow. I oiled it and gave it a try and boy was I surprised by how easy it cut them nice and straight. Of course if I don't hold it straight like in the photo, it won't cut straight, but I was trying to do it with one hand while taking the photo with the other. Anyways, you can see how nicely they are cut in the bag. Not all twisted and ripped but with nice flat sides. I just line up the 'scrapper' straight at the width I want and press down, then give it a little jiggle and it cuts across and separated, ready for cutting into cubes. The handle is easy to hold on to even with oily fingers. I am very pleased with the purchase and encourage other marshmallow makers out there to give it a try.

Bought this to make a naked cake. Worked well however the handle sticks out past the metal so you can't sit flat on a surface and the handle get in the way of your stand/counter.

I expected a smaller frosting spreader. Should only be used by professional bakers and chefs.

It was easy to use and to handle.

The person that used it before could have at least cleaned the item before returning. Like damn really lol.
