Great decision to buy!
Awesome bag! Large or small. First ordered the large because all the reviews said that was the way to go. When I received it I thought it was too large for me, I usually stick to smaller projects and I like taking them with me places. So I ordered the small one. I think the smaller one is just a hair too small, but it works better for me. If they made one in between, a medium, I think it would be perfect. The large would be great for large projects. It can hold 3-4 of the larger skiens of yarn no problem. The small can hold up to four 5-7oz skiens anything larger you can't zip it closed. Its compact enough to take in the car ( road trips :) ), or the doctors office ...ect. I think the large is just a bit too big to do that with.Quality is great, feels durable, and I think will last a long time.I hope this helps in making your decision!

Great but cover is a rip off
Really nice bag. I bought this for my grandmother in a big hurry after another product was delayed and she loved it. After much debate, I decided to not buy the cover for the bag as it seems like a complete rip off ($25 to add the lid??? Are you kidding me?) and is also why I'm taking off 2 stars from an otherwise 4 star review. It really feels like this is just a tacky/scammy way to make this seem much less expensive than it is, get you to click on the link and then say "but if you want the whole bag... you know, with the actual lid... pay almost double!" However I will say that the lid is not necessary if it will never go outside (and it doesn't look so bad either), but it would have been decent to include with the original price (or much closer). It just felt a bit sketchy to me.

... bag for my beside chair at home and I just love it!
I purchased this bag for beside my chair at home and I just love it!!!!! It holds Several of my projects at one one time. The bag has great structure. It stands on it own with out anything in it. I love I can pack it up and go to anywhere with it and it will sit on the floor or in my car and on the seat when I knit at work or when traveling. I can also take my laptop and place in the rear of the main compartment or place in one the side pockets.. Its made of durable canvas like fabric and comes in several colors, I chose the purple. The strap is detachable so when I am home it can sit next to me and the strap is out of the way. It also has a two strap handles. Just love this bag.

I absolutely love this bag
I absolutely love this bag. I am a knitter and a crocheter and I always have projects. I want them organized and clean, away from my curious cats who love yarn as much as I do. I would love to have seen someone to develop more packets. I am so happy to have this bag now, so I can simply leave my stuff inside of it and just pick it up and everything is the way I left it.Erika

A worthwhile purchase - sort of
I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this bag and I'd like to share my findings so that maybe it will be helpful to others.I had three issues I was looking at for my purchase. I wanted to hold all of the yarn for a large project and keep the yarn separated from the project, I wanted it to hold my project, and I wanted to be able to take it with for drives where I would spend time in the car.My project has turned out to be two lap throws (I bought too much yarn for one project). I'll give them as gifts to a married couple I know so the same yarn will work for both throws. The blankets are cream with 3 different colored stripes at various points. My first concern was the width of the yarn slots. They do hold the wider cakes of yarn especially after I started using them. I have three colors and 6 cakes for the stripes, and could probably have gotten another 3 into those slots for one large blanket. BUT doing so closed up some of the other slots. AND It's a good thing yarn is squishy or I wouldn't have been able to get them in the slots. My second concern was that it hold my project. I'm currently 1/3 of the way through the first throw and it has plenty of room. I don't know that it would hold a twin size blanket though, and certainly nothing bigger than that. However, if you are just using it for holding the yarn on a big project it would certainly hold it all.My third concern was portability. I never go anywhere without a project, and I'm tired of hats and wash cloths. I wanted something easy to carry that would fit in the passenger seat or floor of the car. Yesterday I took it with because I expected to have some waiting time, the bag takes up ALL of the floor on the passenger side of the car. I don't like having my feet squished in the car and I put things like sewing under my feet so my car has plenty of foot room. I wont be able to keep this at my feet when I ride as a passenger, I'm going to have to try to find a way around that, if not it's back to a canvas bag.I don't usually buy gadgets without having a reason for it, for example a yarn baller for the shanks I get at a yarn shop. I don't like to take the time making balls so it is useful. The features of this bag are my first foray into a lot of the gadgets that I have seen in stores.First is the magic tab, as silly as it seems, and as much as I dislike velcro, I found that I really liked these little things. When I change yarn I don't have to hunt for the end of the ball its right there. It also didn't separate or pull the yarn fuzzing it up.Second are the slots for yarn. I'd have preferred fewer wider slots. Even if I had regular skeins of yarn I'd have only been able to get one into a slot anyway, and this way I get two or three cakes into a slot.Third is the lid. I know that this sounds odd, but I usually use a canvas bag or a large make up bag to hold my projects and pulling yarn can be a problem. The clear lid let me see my yarn, which makes me feel good (usually why we have a stash hmm?) The grommets made pulling yarn easy, and when pulling the first yarn from the center, usually a sloppy mess, you can just reach in the top from the project side to pull the mess though until it's used up. Also the split top allows me to stop what I'm doing at a moments notice and put my project away where it can't get hurt easily. So the top cover is easily my most favorite feature of this bag.I don't feel the need to carry all of my tools with me when working on a project so the pockets designed for specific things while nice aren't useful to me. Having pockets so I can toss a bag with markers, counters, scissors etc. would be nice. I do like the large pocket in the back for patterns or a magazine is nice. It will hold my tablet too, which is a plus when I go out.I may have to come up with something different for traveling though. That is a sad thing, but it does work for watching TV at night with my husband.I hope this helps. I see that I'm not the only one that got a poor quality product, You might look at another brand since this seems to be a problem with this company.

Not just for Sewing - Works Amazingly for Art or Bullet Journal supplies, too!
LOVE this bag. I don't knit or crochet but this bag is amazing for Bullet Journaling or scrapbooking! My A5-sized journals fit perfectly in the back section, and I use the front "skein" sections to hold my various pens, markers, tools and stickers. The see-through plastic flap on top (magnetic closure) easily lifts for sliding my journal in and out for a quick update without having to unzip the top first The zip pocket on front has 8 large pen loops and 5 flatter slots that can be used for small pens. The reinforced seams help it hold it's shape so I don't have to worry about it slumping over and the contents spilling out. It's a wonderful carry bag and at a very good price! I'm recommending it to my journalling group!** UPDATE 5/26/18 ** I've put many miles on this bag, lugging it all over town and back several times. It's developed no issues and I've probably had too much weight in it a couple of times (tossed in a few books) but it's still doing very well!

Great bag with loads of room
Brilliant bag, much better than expected, good quality fabric, feels as if it will last well, and so roomy I have my half finished project, 900g cake wound yarn, my working yarn in it's bowl plus loads of other necessary bits and pieces. I can even get my 13 inch laptop in the back pocket (just) which means I dont have to print off my digital patterns. And there's room for loads more. Would highly recommend.

The ultimate knitting bag
Just adore this bag. Was on the fence about spending so much on it but it was worth the it after all. It’s roomy and with enough slots and compartments for my interchangeable needle sets, crochet hooks and all the other nonsense I use for my knitting not to mention wool. I was looking for a storage solution and this is perfect for keeping everything organised and in one place though it’s size doesn’t lend itself to portability

Expensive but worth it!
Terrific bag for my crochet projects which use up to eight different colours. Keeps everything together and organised and easy to transport. Not the cheapest option perhaps but perfect for the job so well worth it!

Knitting bag
I absolutely love this knitting bag. It is quite big but this means it’s very roomy with lots of pockets for patterns, accessories etc.

Lining is poor
I have had this bag for a month or two. The pocket in the top section is the ideal size for knitting needle storage, however the lining has come away from t he bag resulting in the contents of the zipped section not being contained. Otherwise the large bag has lots of compartments and the holes allow for fluid dispensing of wool whilst in use.
