Barbie Shopping Chic Spiegel Doll Limited Edition

Helping my two very different granddaughters to find compatible ways to play with each other, I am always on the look out for Barbie dolls with various appeal. I have a large volume of historical fashion development (purchased through Amazon's great book section at a great used price). This Spiegel Chic item is presented so well; the black and gold pieces are set off with leopard trim made more appealing with the red box background. I love this fashion, also, because it occured in my "heyday". What a chance to talk about what Grandma was doing in those days (and , yes, how much better she looked). My grandchildren a still rather young, so the little dog really appealed to them. Great chance to introduce discussion about dog breeds... jobs provided by animal care, etc. The fashionable faux fur trim also opened discussion about saving endangered species. Box's legend is informative on fashion. A beautiful doll at a great price (box was slightly damaged so it was discounted). All in all a great experience.

This doll is stylish, and I like her for my collection. The one issue I have is I cannot see her shoes in the box. They are not on her feet and are not visible in the box. This is a disappointment. I do not know if the shoes are in the box or not because I have not opened it and did not plan to open it.
