I haven't reviewed anything in a while.This thing is so excellent really stimulated me to leave a review. It's an outstanding product. I bought this to finally have a good purpose built tool for shrink wrap tubing and especially those hard plastic crimp connectors with the shrinkable ends for my electronics projects. They require quite a bit more heat than shrink tubing and really needs to be applied evenly and gradually as opposed to with a lighter.I bought a cheap one from advance auto that was an absolute lie down. Got fed up and bought this thing and cannot be happier. It has several attachments that are really useful. The small focused applicator tip is really good for a small electronic projects. I haven't even gotten to use some of the others yet. It feels like it's pretty high quality, it has three blower settings and then the switch to adjust the temperature in 10 degree increments. It isn't cheap but I think it's the best. It's a great addition to my random hobby tools!

Well, easy to work. The number one thing is you can set your own temperature.

The heat gun itself works well and it appears to be durable. I especially like the attachment for shrink tubing. however, even though I purchased the "Platinum Kit", the case is the flimsy gray plastic case others have complained about. Otherwise, I would have rated it a 5. Just another case of advertising that is not accurate!

This is now my second Steinel, after about 3 years of almost everyday use my last one finally gave out. This is by far the best/longest lasting heat gun I’ve had. Works great for vinyl, tint, and PPF

I received in February and it does not work anymore. It will not heat or display temperature. Lasted almost 2 months for $180.00 . Used very little. Waste of my money !

All I can say is it’s truly an extremely nice tool. Pro quality and features. Great value. I have been using Steinel’s economy heat guns for over 18 years and they won’t die. Stepped up to the HL 2020 E and for the price I am 100% satisfied.

First off, I had ordered this heat gun back in July, which unfortunately was when it was on back-order from the vendor. Not a big deal, as I didn't need it immediately. But I ended up receiving it about a month later.PROS: The heat gun came with all of the tips and the materials for plastic welding, as well as some heat shrink. It works as advertised, and it definitely hits it's top temperature in a fairly short amount of time. All-in-all, satisfied with the heat gun.CONS: The heat gun did not come in the "practical silver case" that was advertised. Instead, it came in a cheap plastic case with no real dividers for organization (see attached pictures), almost as if they had the gun, but no cases left, so they just threw it into whatever case they had handy, slapped a sticker on it, and shipped it out. In the second picture I had actually organized it better than when I had received it, they had literally just thrown everything in and closed the case.Summary: This heat gun works great, and came with all of the correct accessories EXCEPT the silver metal case as advertised.
