An excellent value gaming system
Amazing build quality, high quality components, and not too "gamer" of a look. I bought this as a first computer for my nephew, and he loves it. There is enough power in the CPU and GPU for entry level gaming while looking exactly the way a gaming enthusiast desires. The built in Wifi is fast, and while I have not tried it, the built in Xbox controller interface was unique and seems very useful. Upgrade potential is available as well, with slots for 2.5" and additional 3.5" hard drives.

Great for light gaming and LAN Parties
As a gaming pc goes this one has a terrific graphics card (1050 Ti) and a nice big hard drive (1 TB) but the whole build is messed by the inclusion of an i3 processor. It makes little sense to put an i3 in a machine for serious gamers but, for the casual gamer, who doesn't intend to tax their system much this could be a good gaming PC.This is a good mediacenter if you want to game on your home theater set up. While it isn't high powered, it is small and efficient. The carrying handle makes it very easy to transport and it has a compact profile so it can work well at a LAN party.Set up was very easy since it was purely plug and play. The Ideacenter comes with a mouse and keyboard. You do need an HDMI cable, which I already had, and so was able to set it up very quickly. Connecting via wifi was a snap and it was really nice having the wi fi built in. Then the updates began! Windows 10 took over an hour to install all the updates which was a tad frustrating but to be expected. Once that was done the browser loaded quickly and installing games from Steam was not a problem at all.If you happen to use games on dvds, you will need an external disc drive. For other purposes, the ideacenter has connectors for PSII, 4 USB 3.0 connectors, 2 USB 2.0 connectors and a Xbox pairing button on the front of the tower.Honestly, with an i5 CPU (or an i7) this would have been a seriously awesome gaming pc. As it is though, the i3 does bottleneck the performance. This is mostly unnoticeable in general use and for light gaming.

Gaming Tower
For this to be specifically marketed as a "gaming" computer, it is pretty low end. Anyone who does serious gaming would have issues with this unit. It is a very large console, about 2 1/2 times as big as an Xbox One console, so it's quite bulky and a bit heavy. It's touted as being "portable" which I guess it technically is because you can move it but it's not easily portable. As for good points, it does have nice graphics and it looks sort of cool (kind of Star Trekky or robotic). I understand that it is upgradable so you can add more memory, etc which I am sure would make the gaming better. That, of course, will require more expense which I'm just not willing to do. If you are a very casual gamer or if you're looking for a cool looking computer tower, it's not bad but I wouldn't put it at the top of any lists.

Solid, all around entertainment tower
This rower which they call a portable cube, "comparable in size to a game console," isn't as compact or portable as they make it sound. It is definitely much more bigger, bulkier, and heavier than a game console. I wouldn't necessarily call it portable at all, aside from it having a handle. It's not light weight or discrete, anymore than carrying around a cinder block would be. That being said, it does well as it is intended to do.I've had no issues with it actually running and no complaints so far about performance. It's a value priced gaming rig and with that in mind it's exactly what you would expect for the price range.Once you get it you're going to go in and uninstall unnecessary apps and programs and customize it to your liking and gaming requirements for an even better experience. It didn't need a lot of time for the initial windows updates, which was surprising. There were just a few small, quick updates needed. Sometimes you get a new computer and it seems like an eternity to get it set up and running because there's many updates needed right out of the box, plus then your customizations and personalization, uninstling bloatware, programs you won't be using, etc. I spent about an hour, tops, but that was because of going into the Lenovo proprietary programs and poking around in them. This is my first experience with a Lenovo desktop of any kind, so I was just curious as to their own programs.I have this set up in trhe living room, connected to a 48" hdtv and xbox, so it's the entertainment center for gaming, tv, and internet use.It comes with a wired mouse and keyboard which get the job done, but if you plan on any serious gaming you'll want better devices and upgrade those to gaming models. I just went with wireless keyboard and mouse, so we can control everything without cords, of course. And then game controllers as needed. So far, I don't have any notable complaints, aside from disagreeing with the portability aspect. You're not going to transport this thing any more so than you would any other tower. It's heavy and bulky, but does have a handle, so yes, I suppose that fact does make it slightly more transportable, however it's not something if expect to carry around for game parties etc. Performance wise it's been fine so far. Sound and graphics have been nice and smooth and speed has not been an issue. It runs quiet and hasn't seemed to get hot, yet. It's sufficient and efficient at this point and is actually a nice set up for an all around solid work horse for work, play, and web.
