Well, it floats!
I got this after seeing the large roll out floating platforms out on the lake; didn't want to spend $500+ dollars for a float that size. Overall, this is a very nice solution to throw into the water and lounge around on, sit on, and just have fun with. Not bouyant enough to stand on like I hoped, relatively thin and sinks into water pretty easily (the large models claim you can stand on them). Definitely cheaper options out there with same results (cheap pool float....). It's well made, easily rolls up, but overall quite a few cheaper alternatives.

Fun, but Small
I purchased this mat primarily for my dog, so I'm not too concerned about the size. But, if you're looking for something you and a friend (or two) can enjoy, this is definitely too small. It's great for one person to lay on (like a raft) or sit in. The quality is great and it comes with a strap to secure it when not in use.

Good for dogs
We use this for our dog a standard size goldendoodle. We had to put a hole in it in order to tie a rope to it, but she can get on it by herself. We also use it for helping her get back onto the boat. After 2 years, it has held up to her nails digging into it.

No tethering kit as promised
Ad states "The Mini is designed for individual use. It weighs approximately 6 pounds and hold ups to 250 pounds. Comes with tethering kit". It does not, had to return. Website should be updated.

This item will not hold a small child let alone an adult.

Not for every dog, but....
I bought this for my dog who doesn't like to swim but gets upset if we leave her behind on the boat. She jumped right on it and really enjoys hanging out with us on her little "magic carpet". She's only 23 pounds, so I don't think it would work well for a bigger dog, but for her, it's perfect.
