Once you figure out how they go on, they are good-looking caps that fit many types of sprinkler heads. Screw OFF just the cap of your sprinkler. Pull out spring and pop up spray tube, retain the "ring" collar that goes at the top of the pop up spray tube. Take the two pieces of the Conversion Kit Cap Off Pop-up Plug apart, as they are screwed together. SANDWICH the original cap and the ring collar between the screw underneath and the turning cap on top. Then crew this whole thing back on top, leaving out the spring and pop up spray tube.

Watch some online videos on how to cap off sprinkler heads, then go out and look at your sprinkler heads BEFORE PURCHASING this item. It will be obvious if it will work or not. If you can’t tell, then you’re not handy enough for this job. Hire a professional or even ask the guy down the street that seems to have a workshop in their garage. These did work on Hunter Pro spray heads with the white elastomer rings.

I needed a way to take out a few sprinkler heads from my system without reworking everything. These plugs are perfect. Just unscrew the top of the pop-up cartridge, remove the popup and spring, then screw the plug in place. Bingo! Your sprinkler no longer sprays from that former head location. I was advised to use these by my sprinkler system professional and will use them going forward to modify my system. Great purchase.
