Enamel issues
Didn’t even get to try it out because as soon as we opened up the box, bits of enamel were falling off. The top edge where the silver knob meets the iron has all kinds of flaky enamel bits chipping off, and it seemed unsafe to use. The pan seemed to be nice, and really liked the overall size and shape. It’s just a shame about the crusty enamel.

Happy Camper!
I absolutely love it. It's beautiful design, color, and finish and much better quality than I anticipated. I bought it to fit with my GasOne dual fuel camping stove so I can cook Tagines while I'm the road traveling, and it's a perfect fit. I am such a happy camper!

Easy cook
This is a must have in every home because who doesn't love cast iron. It comes with a lid to keep food hot and fresh. The lid is dome shaped. Amazing price and very durable and large enough to feed my whole family. It's easy to clean between uses. It's quickly become my favorite because it'll work on the stove and campfire and in the oven

Nice, solid, cast iron cookware.
This is a nice Tagine. It is heavy Cast iron and has a nice finish. It's very solid and have used these before. This one looks like it will last a long time once properly seasoned. If you are looking for a cast iron Tagine, I would recommend this one.

Great for exotic or regular one pot cooking
The tajine uses an old cooking method that was most common in the desert as it preserves water in foods in a setting where water was not plentiful. It’s pretty common to see these in North Africa especially as it is mostly desert, and these pots are used to slow cook meats and stews. There’s different styles which I describe in my video review depending on the design and depth of the bottom. This will give you an idea of what serving sizes you can make as well as what kinds of foods you can make. And the more shallow varieties, you can’t make quite as much and stews tend to need to be a little thicker. The deeper varieties, like this one, you can really do both. They are also great for serving as they keep your food warm for long periods of time with the heavy lid. They are also meant to be use on the stove top or in the oven. There’s lots of great recipes online for tajine meals or you can use it to make less exotic foods as it does meat phenomenally by retaining juices. My mom uses hers to reheat food and keep it warm and she not an exotic cook, so they really are a versatile piece of cookware that you don’t have to be making north African food to appreciate. That being said, North African food is delicious so I do suggest you try it. This is also a great option for those wanting to use the tajine but also enjoy modern conveniences as this particular one is dishwasher safe. I don’t put my others in the dishwasher, and not all of them are safe for the oven so be careful.
