Great Stuff
This is awesome hairball medicine. I have a long hair and short hair and both of them enjoy this stuff. They will eat it right out of the tube so I don't have to worry about it getting everywhere. With other gels it would be a challenge just to get them to take it. It is more of a liquid than gel but I would guess that is because of the oils they use. I am glad it is natural so my kitties don't have to eat petroleum products. Also it really works, my kitties don't have any problems with hairballs. I definately recommend this product.

Works well but can use a bit of improvement
My cat's like the product but it separates into an oil base on top so it needs to be shaken. Be sure to hold the cap tightly closed when shaking because the cap is not that secure.

garmon corporation-naturvet AH03260 3 oz natural hairball gel with catnip
I read the reviews and found that this could work and then it came very fast in the mail so when I got home I thought lets see if Barfey would eat this stuff. I got this on my finger and then she sniffed for one minute and went crazy for this. I then gave her what they recommend and now the next day she is still taking this like candy. I have tried stuff from the vet and she put her nose up and would not eat . I have been so frustrated with her and the hairball that you can find in most any place in the house. I would say so far try this . I think there is nothing worse than you are sleeping and the cat wakes you up with a prize on your bed or pillow. I love my cat but hate the hairballs and wish that I would have come here and looked around sooner. Now for the other side to this I have another cat who would not take this but she is not with hairball issues and not saying it won't happen soon. I know that she is a fussy eater and will not eat can food or anything other than hard cat food. I am glad this has worked for my one cat and the other does not want any part but she is a fussy cat. 9-7-13 I am adding to my review that my cat used this stuff and then found out that it was more than hairballs as she had cancer that made he have so many hairballs. I am glad that I found this as it made her last days easier to not keep having the hairballs bother her. I hope that this stuff stays on the market so when I need more I can get some.

All natural and free of mineral oil!
We were looking for a hairball remedy for our cats that was petrolatum-free. Petrolatum is one of the cheapest oil out there. . Fortunately, we found Naturvet Natural Hairball Gel with Catnip, a great product that our cats love: they are happy to lick a small portion of the gel right from the tube. It has a great aroma, and contains high-quality oils that are beneficial for their digestive tracts, coats, and eyes. This product has one downside: it is quite runny at room temperature, and was rather messy to administer to the cats on first try. However, on a hunch, we placed it in the refrigerator and it hardened just enough, but was still a bit runny. We then decided to place it inside the freezer door, where it hardens but does not freeze solid. We were concerned that our cats might not like the gel at this cold temperature, but it wasn't a problem at all, as it softens up enough in few minutes after we take it from the freezer. We squeeze out a small portion of the semi-frozen gel from the tube and all our cats happily ingest their portions. We highly recommend this product!

Oily liquid
This arrived in December so I thought the gel had seperated due to the cold but after bringing it to room temp and gently mixing the tube it became clear there was nothing solid to mix back in to the oil. This stuff was so runny it coated the tube, the floor and everything around it. What a mess. I might have received a bad batch but for 11 bucks a gel ought to be a gel. The cat would not go near the oil slick that ran all over the floor either.

It separated soonafter I got it
Even though my cat wasn't crazy about this gel he could be encouraged to eat it. But less than 2 weeks after I got it, this stuff separated into very soft gel and lots of messy oil that spilled out when I tried to squeeze out a dose to give to my cat for a hairball. I ended up with my palm overflowing with oil. Yuck. Won't buy again.

NaturVet Natural Hairball Aide w/Catnip
NaturVet, Hairball w/ catnip, my cat loves it and it works great! I put it in the freezer, (because it’s runny), then squeeze it onto my fingers and Anna loves it! She gets it every night when Mattie (the dog) gets her Benadryl. I shake the bottle a little and they come running. No more hair balls. I use about 1 1/2” length. I now order 2 tubes at a time. As you can see, she has a lot of hair!

The Only Product My Cat Will Eat
I've had a tough time finding a hairball remedy my cat would take. My son recommended this particular one, as he had great success with his cats. Sure enough - my cat loves it! It's not as thick as Laxatone or Petramalt, but this is also not petroleum based, which is a good thing. You can freeze it or refrigerate it to make it thicker. My cat initially liked it cold, but now he prefers it at room temperature. Because it's thinner, I put it in a teaspoon, and my cat eats it right off the spoon. Or you can put it on a saucer. Really happy with this product!
