Definitely works and will address the other reviews' issues!
I read the reviews and will address them in this review. For me, it worked great last night at dusk and verified that it was effective today! Nest is empty, wasps that were on the nest are lying motionless below. At first I was worried because there was still some wasp traffic. That seems to be just stragglers checking on the nest so they will likely die off in a day or two without the nest. The smell was not strong afterwards and actually kind of nice but did give me a mild allergic response, which was no big deal. We are super sensitive to chemicals/smells so this was not bad but next time I will wear some sort of mask (I had on an old paintball mask to prevent stings but it doesn't do anything for airflow/breathing). And glad that it is non-toxic and natural.I'm always skeptical as to the effectiveness of essential oils and such but this one definitely works and fast. In that picture the wasp crawled up onto the deck and died there. This was within a few hours or so after I sprayed. I hate to use chemicals or kill anything whatsoever but they attacked us so they chose their fate. One can is pretty small but was good for 3 medium paper wasp nests. About 4 inch/10cm diameter each, so small nests compared to the large cones that other wasps may build. After that, I didn't trust the power of the spray anymore. I'd say I hit each nest for 4 seconds each, in the first 2 they dropped off the nest like flies and then soaked the nest itself for 2 more seconds. It was plenty. I didn't even need all the protective clothing I put on. But keep that in mind if tackling a species with a bigger nest and buy more cans of STEM if you have multiple larger nests. Minus 1 star for value based on the size of the can but At this sale price around $6, or even the 3-pack for $20, I would totally buy it again.Regarding the review on poor spray power...follow the instructions. There is a plastic tab on the cap you're supposed to remove. Also, shake well! Mine sprayed at least 5-6 feet and could have gone a full 15 feet, as recommended, but my aim was great at closer range. Under the deck and where they built the nest, I had no real option on range but am super happy that they didn't even get a chance to swarm me. It does disperse a little but there is definitely a large main spray to aim right at them. My spray cap arrived without the plastic tab and the cap was not attached to the can but I just popped it on and it worked great. Maybe they've improved the design and the way they ship them.Review regarding, staining... Not sure if it's permanent or not but it is an oil-based product. See my picture. That is on composite decking. Wasps nests were under the deck so I wasn't worried about staining but the picture of a wasp that crawled up before it expired and clearly it was soaked in STEM, which are the dark oily spots you see under the wasps. That was worth it for me but if your nests are in a visible spot on the house or deck, then I would be careful or test a hidden area first. Probably need a soap detergent as with any oil-based stain but I haven't tried getting it off as I'm still waiting for the lingering wasps be gone before I even knock the nests down or try to clean up the spots.

Fast and Safe
The STEM wasp spray is very easy and effective to use, at least for individual wasps, I have yet to need to use it on a nest. It kills nearly instantaneously and is very easy to wipe up. I would very much recommend this and other STEM products as they have nearly replaced all other brands in my cabinets.

Effective on stink bugs and leaf-footed bugs - Shoots far, oily mess, decent smell
It's an oily mess but I don't care. It's actually effective!! I can never enjoy sitting on my balcony at the end of summer near autumn because that's when it's infested with stink bugs and leaf-footed bugs. For the past couple of years I was using Vet's Best Flea and Tick Home Spray, which worked but the smell was too strong! Maybe I'm just not a fan of peppermint and clove. STEM has a better smell in my opinion. It's much more tolerable to me. It's 1.47% geraniol, 0.10% lemongrass oil, 98.43% other ingredients. It also sprays really far, which is necessary for me. This is safer to use than toxic fumes from other companies. I am only using this outdoor. This might be too messy to use indoors. I use the red label spray from this company for indoor. That is oily as well but it is easier to control the amount since the nozzle is less powerful. I believe this is advertised as a contact killer but this works over time!! I find dead bugs and flies all over the places I sprayed almost a month ago. They die in the oil residue that I never cleaned up. Is this like a bait killer? I don’t know but I love it! Here's my number 1 complaint: the plastic spray nozzle came off upon arrival! You cannot process the refund/return on your own. I had to contact customer service. Fortunately, I was able to get it to work by taping it down then cutting a slit to open the middle area for my finger. I will most definitely repurchase it despite the nozzle issue.Update/Edit: I now have 3 sprays from STEM: orange, red, and purple label. So far they work on every bug/fly I have encountered. It is not limited to what they listed on the bottle. They have killed stink bug, leaf footed bug, cricket, cockroach, silverfish, and gnat/fruit fly. It seems the residual oil that I never cleaned up deters the stink bugs. They never came back to that area. They pick a different location.-Ingredients:-Orange label: Geraniol (1.47%), Lemongrass oil (0.10%)-Red label: Geraniol (6.2%), Lemongrass oil (0.5%)-Purple label: Geraniol (6.0%), Lemongrass oil (0.5%)The ingredients are very similar. They differ in potency/percentage. Biggest difference are the nozzles. Orange sprays the farthest. Red sprays the shortest distance and purple is in between.

I found this pretty effective!
STEM wasp, hornet and yellow jacket spray is certainly worth the expense! A yellow jacket managed to get into our apartment and my sister and I were petrified! It landed on my glass of grape juice and, luckily, I had the spray nearby, which I tested first in the sink to make sure it worked. I aimed the spray nozzle a short distance away. One firm spray and it was gone! If you don't want to be terrorized in such a situation by a yellow jacket that can sting you multiple times, I think it's a good idea to have it around. Also, bring it to the park as they are attracted to sugary drinks and meat (can't blame them!) The spray does leave an oily mess, but, in my opinion, that's a minor inconvenience. Do clean up the oily film especially so you don't slip!

Works well, but Very messy and leaves an oily film.
Works well in fact almost frighteningly so, Good focused stream that has plenty of reach. however it is very messy and leaves an oily film. The order is pleasant but overpowering in a confined space.
