This is the most definitive release I've ever seen despite that it's a PAL Region 2 DVD, but you need a Region Free DVD player or a 2nd External DVD Burner to watch.According to the back cover of this PAL DVD, it appears that the English version is presented in 5.1 Surround Sound which might be unheard of to consumers.Inside the case, the DVD itself looks like it was originally planned for a UK release because the subtitle says "Talking to Unicorns". That's amazing!When a DVD release like this has the first 7 episodes, your kids won't get bored when they're watching hours of magical fairytales at a total runtime of 2 hours 41 minutes and of course the full length episodes are uncut as seen in Canada and Europe.Well the story begins with Mia getting transferred to a new school, given a new fairytale book and bracelet on her birthday before getting access to a 3D animated world of Centopia. Your kids can see what happens next.Think about this, it's a must have DVD for families if you know what you're doing with compatibility because it's a PAL Region 2 DVD.

This is an entertaining fantasy show that mixes live action with animation that contains positive messages about working together with your friends and the importance of kindness. It's the rare children's show that doesn't make me want to run out of the room screaming with my hands over my ears. My 5 year old daughter is a huge fan and I like that it has positive strong proactive female characters. My young son also enjoys the action sequences. The one thing I can nitpick about the show is that according to the Mia and Me website, Mia is 12 years old, and I find her to be overly sexualized for a 12 year old--well developed body, short skirt, high boots. Fortunately, my daughter is too young to have much concept of age. To her 12 might as well be 20, but I think they should have either made the character older or made her look younger. Other than that, it's a really well done show, and I actually look forward to watching the shows myself.

My daughter is fascinated with this show and she is 4. It still seems like a b-rated show to me during the live human shots with bad acting, subpar film and complicated names.... but the cartoon part draws her in every time. She loves unicorns too of which they have major part of this series. Nits like a trainwreck to me, I just can't look away and even know the theme song,

3.5 year old daughter loves this show. Probably one of her favorites. From the episodes I've watched it seems like there are some good lessons about friendship and working together.

Ever since its US debut on Nick Jr, my daughter has loved this show. We went on a long road trip so I added it to our Library and she was very happy to be able to watch it while we were on the road. The intro is a bit longer than the one on cable, which my daughter also loves, because the intro song is one of her favorite parts!

My four year old son and I found this show by accident! Who doesn't love the storyline of a magical book with elves, dragons and unicorns? I love the fact that it is only on 2 nights a week and no commercials!!! Good old fashioned TV and my son has something to look forward to - the next episode.

My 4 year old loves this show. We can't wait for the new season to start. Wish they would hurry up and release the other two seasons on DVD as well so we don't have to rely on Netflix. We had to get unlimited internet just because she watched so much
