These little folks add another layer of play. The face on the girl is “not as pretty as a Barbie” (according to a 4 year old granddaughter) but “she looks happy.”

This PicassoTiles Mini Magnetic Tiles Expansion Car Truck and Figures Play Set is quite a bit smaller than expected.Although it is built well and it is sturdy, it doesn’t quite fit in to the regular magnetic tile set.Nonetheless, it’s fun for little hands to play with and the included figurines are a nice bonus. It comes in a giftable box.The little figurines are somewhat difficult to click into the seat slots.The set is vivid colored and the car truck is see through.Overall I would recommend this set.

I gave these to my 3-year-old granddaughter. She likes them very much.

Great product

I didn't realize when I ordered this that this car is so tiny! I realize now that it says mini, but I'm not sure what it's meant to go with. I tried the car with regular magnetic tiles and with 3D magnetic shapes and neither really work well it. The people are cute and work with any magnetic toys. The magnets are in their feet only. They also fit, sitting in the little car perfectly. The little car also has connector dots, like Lego, on it and it is compatible with actual Lego blocks. My pre-kindergarten students don't really use this car very much because it doesn't seem to work with the magnetic toys we have, but they do love really love the people.

I didn't quite catch the fact that this was mini, or that Picasso Tiles has a mini line when I ordered this. There is a difference. If you've been using Picasso Tiles for a long time then you're probably used to the full sized line. A square tile from the full size line is around 3 inches per side. The mini's are about 2 inches per side. And, the magnets don't line up well between the two lines.All that aside, the size difference makes no difference to my 3yo who absolutely adores this little car and the little people that came with it. She happily scoots them around and makes them play with her other toys. The two little people have magnets in their feet so they can stand on top of Picasso Tiles and stay put. They work just fine with the larger tiles. My 5yo also has some Picasso Tiles dinosaurs that work the same way. I foresee some dinosaur vs little people battles in my near future...If you are new to the magnetic tile world I highly recommend Picasso Tiles. Price point wise they tend to be better than some of the other well known brands, build quality wise they are good. We have not had a single tile break in such a way to release a magnet. And, kids can be so creative with them. Knowing now that there is a mini line vs full sized line I would just recommend you do your homework and stick with one line or the other when starting your collection.
