Grand daughter loves it.
Ever since bringing back this syrup from Wyoming, my grand daughter has asked for pancakes and huckleberry. I wish it came in a bigger bottle

Really tastes Great!
Want to surprise your adult friends? When you make the kids milk shakes, use this to make a shake for them. It's a hit! Really a great surprise for adults, makes a child's joy into an adults also. I am sure it will do the good for pancakes or for syrup on ice cream, but I have not enjoyed it that way yet. Highly recommend.

Very good syrup
This syrup is very good, but I purchased it because I was looking to duplicate the homemade syrup I bought in Montana that had whole huckleberries in it. Because it said "with real fruit pieces" in the description, I chose this brand over others. It seems the same as others I have purchased that are just syrup. No fruit chunks or pieces. Which is fine, but not what I expected. I will wait until I get back up into the Flathead Valley to get what I really want next time.edit: After getting halfway through the bottle, I realize there are pieces of fruit toward the bottom. I recommend you tip it up and down a few times before you pour. I would purchase again :)

Did not meet expectations
We were hoping this product would be equal to some Huckleberry Hooch given to us as a gift that was very thick. However this product is is relatively thin and the “chunks” of huckleberry are at best minimal. It does tastes great and will certainly get used up.

This is the real deal
OMG, would I be a pig if I admitted I just ate FOUR Eggo waffles for breakfast with this syrup on it? (It's okay if you say 'yes'). This syrup is so thick and flavorful, AND I even saw a few chunks of actual huckleberries in it. I learned in all my travels that huckleberries can not be tamed to grow domestically. They ONLY grow in the wild at certain elevations (3,000-5,500 feet if I remember correctly) and need a certain amount of shade and moisture. So that's why it's difficult to find huckleberry syrup and why it's so expensive. The secret to having good huckleberry syrup is looking for "huckleberries" in the ingredient list instead of "huckleberry juice". Having whole, crushed, pulverized, or whatever they do to the huckleberries in the ingredients gives it a much richer, thicker texture and a more robust flavor. Thank you Shadow River, for making this quality product, since living in TN it's not likely I'll be back to the pacific northwest regularly ;)
