Our old fan remote quit working. We were looking for a fan that worked with Alexa. My son said just get a new controller, they are easy to install. So we did and it works awesome. Now we can tell Alexa to turn it off and on. Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded.  This is the second unit I have installed in my house, first in my office and now in my bedroom. Integration is easy. Setup is a little lost in translation. It says to hold keys on remote to pair, this did not work on either fan, instead jump to step 2 and turn wall switch on and off 5 times. This will allow for pairing mode. I was worried about 2 units interfering with remotes, but is not an issue. The fan and light beep when using the remote, but this can be easily turned off. The receiver is small and fits well into the electrical box above the fan. Nice product all around. Recommend to anyone wanting a voice controlled fan.

I got this because the factory remote receiver in the ceiling fan was failing. And if the only reason i bought this was gor the remote, id give it 5 stars. It was simple to install and the remote works great. It operates even further away than the factory remote did when it was new.The downside of this remote is the Alexa integration, which is what i bought it for. First, connecting it to Alexa was frustrating. You first have to connect it to another app then connect it to Alexa. And even when Alexa would see it, it still took several attempts to connect before it actually started working.After connecting isnt any less frustrating. Sometimes it works perfectly. Sometimes there is a delay of up to 30 seconds from giving the command until the ceiling fan responds. And several times it has just randomly lost connection and i had to open the alexa app to re enable it.I also have noticed if i use the remote to turn the light off, i have to use the remote to turn it back on. When i have used the remote to turn the light off and then later told Alexa to turn it back on, i get a reply that it isnt responding and to check the network connection and power.The beep everytime you do something is mildly annoying. The ad says it can be turned off but honestly, after the frustration of getting it to connect to Alexa, im worried if i follow the instructions in the ad ill lose connection and have to go thru it again so ill live with the beep.If you want a great remote, id recommend this. If you want reliable Alexa integration, i cant recommend this.

So, I hate being cold. Lol! Waking up in the morning is hardest for because I don’t want to get out from under the covers while the fan is still on. This thing totally changes the game!! You’re able to set a schedule so I have the fan automatically turn off a few minutes before my alarm and I have the light automatically turn on at the same time as my alarm, so it’s much easier to wake up!! We got the one with Alexa connectivity- so that’s great as well because I can tell her to turn off/on as needed and it’s as simple as that. Can also control from the app even when not at home (on the upgraded one only I believe). Totally worth it. Installing it was pretty easy too (well, according to my husband). The only tricky part was first connecting it to the app (after some trial and error and research, I had to use Bluetooth and turn the light on/off 5 times). Overall not being dramatic when I say it’s changed my life haha. If you’re debating- get it!!

Remote never worked properly. When you turned on the fan, you also turned on the light. No way tp operate independently. I could never get the fan to pair with the Wi-Fi app. Would have sent it back but it was too much hassle to take down the ceiling fan to get to the remote. I've had the Smart Fan and Light Remote Kit installed for about two months, and yesterday it quit working entirely. I changed the batteries in the handheld remote, still nothing. Looks like I'm taking down the fan and disconnecting the remote anyway. What a waste of money!

I had an older model fan remote that failed. I replaced it with this unit and it works just fine. Be sure you use the "Smart Life" app to control this. You can find it on the Play Store and I assume others. The Icon for the correct app is a blue circle with a white house icon with radio waves where the chimney would be expected. Finding the correct app was my biggest issue. This unit is small enough that I was able to slip it into the base of the fan without completely dropping it. Linking it with google allows you to control it with voice control.

Remote control works well, but their app would not recognize the remote. I tried several separate times of a few weeks. Yes, I did use my 2.4 network. Nothing worked notified company and was sent the same directions I had already been trying. I bought a Bond unit and I use that to mimic this remote and it works great with Alexa. I even connected my Storm Smart Shutters' remote to Alexa thru Bond.

Not recommended. Died after 3 months.UPDATE:The seller offered a free replacement. Once it came in, it worked fine for a while, but the same issue happened after about a week.The issue with the first one was progressive. First, it started by randomly turning the lights on and off at any moment when in use. Then, it got worse, and when the light was on, sometimes it randomly started flashing very fast, like turning itself on and off many times a second, and the flashing lasted for a while unless we manually turned the wall switch off to stop the power supply. Then, finally, one day, it just died and didn't turn back on again.The replacement had flashing issues, but they stopped after a while and the device hasn't died like the other. I'm updating my review to 3 stars just because of the support, and I hope the problems don't come back.

Me gusto mucho, funciona muy bien, lo recomiendo mucho.

The media could not be loaded.  Funciona perfectamente bien para lo que se compró.Como pueden ver por el video funciona tanto con el ecosistema de Google como el de Amazon Alexa, pero si es necesario instalar Smart Life y vincular ambas cuentas con dicha aplicación.Cabe notar que solo funciona con Wi-Fi de 2.4 Ghz, y que los comandos de voz para Google y para Alexa no son exactamente iguales, por lo que termine creando rutinas para normalizar esas diferencias. Además cuando vinculas el Smart Life con Google, te aparece una opcion para encender/apagar el ventilador y las lamparas a la vez, el cual no aparece cuando se vincula con Amazon Alexa, pero nuevamente no afecta, pues se puede crear una rutina para hacer lo mismo.Le doy solamente 4 estrellas por que el control no viene con pilas, y se me hizo un poco caro la relación del precio comparado con otros productos que he comprado en el pasado.El control tiene un rango de aproximadamente 4 metros y el temporizador para apagar el ventilador despues de unas horas le da un plus, pero nada que una rutina no pueda hacer tambien.Un plus que tiene el receptor es que si tiene el capacitor suficiente para arrancar ventiladores grandes como este de 52 pulgadas que ven en el video.Viene con tornillos y taquetes para poner la base del control remoto en la pared y el tamaño pequeño cupo muy bien dentro de la base del ventilador.Si lo recomendaría, y seguramente voy a comprar otro para el ventilador que tengo en la recamara.Disculpen que los comandos del video esten en inglés, pero así tengo configurada mi casa inteligente.Espero esto les sirva.
