Smart Tech at it's Best!
I have 6 of these now so all my radiators are covered and one has the older version of this model which still works great too. I have purchased pretty much everything that Meross have developed as my original reason for adding so much smart tech to our home was because my wife is disabled and all this tech has made life a lot easier for her to control things that she can no longer reach easily. We use these in conjunction with our Hive heating system and the two work seamlessly together both working really well with our voice activated devices as well as with the superb accompanying apps. 1. Installation I would say that the thermostats require a little more patience to install than say the plugs and multisockets but if you take your time and follow the Meross app's instructions and seriously don't rush this bit and read through carefully, making sure you understand each part of the setup before continuing. You have to setup the Hub first and I must admit I rushed it a bit being overconfident and when I came to install the stat I clicked on the hub setup again by mistake, rather than the stat. You will see if you are new to this setup process. Once I had mastered one stat, I went through the rest with ease and I would point out that these require two AA batteries and when they run down you will get a message letting you know that the battery is running low on whichever stat it is. You can choose from a preinstalled list of rooms when naming them or choose your own, whichever suits you. I did change them to our liking to make sure it was easier for Alexa to understand which stat to turn on and off for example. You can turn them on and off in the app and adjust the temperature in each one. When you do this with the app or Alexa it can take up to 3 minutes to respond but usually it does mine in less time than that. Might be the speed of your network and mine isn't great to be honest. One other thing I would recommend is if you are installing more than one, I found it easier to use the same radiator that is nearest to your router and hub. Just make sure to place the stat on the named radiator as soon as it's done so as not to get them mixed up. You will also need to go through the setup process if you have to replace the batteries but I am so used to the setup process now it's really not an issue for me and I do it really quickly. The batteries do last quite a long time before they need replacing though and it's easier to go into the app and delete the stat before reinstalling. The stats come with a 2 year warranty and so far I have only had one problem with one of them, when the part that grips onto the valve cracked and it wouldn't stay on properly. I contacted Meross and they couldn't have been more helpful and sent another one out literally the next day. So to finish off I can honestly say that I love these products and they have made it so much easier to control the heating both for me and my wife and I have no qualms whatsoever in awarding a 5 star rating for the product and the service.

Couldn't be happier (once the firmware was updated :P)
Ok so before I tell you how amazing this product is (it really is) - a word about the frustrating connectivity issues people have mentioned in the comments. I encountered this. It appeared that absolutely everything was wrong with this product; impossible installation, intermittent connection success if ever connected. It was the most frustrating thing spanning a few days of trying HOWEVER I believe this is a now-resolved issue with an earlier version of the firmware. After a few emails with Meross Support, who talked me through upgrading the firmware on my version - and after a subsequent successful firmware upgrade this unit has been absolutely solid. Hopefully this issue is a thing of the past - as my unit was on firmware 7.0.0 when it was shipped to me and I can see it's now on 7.6.9.2.4.1 so hopefully newer units will be shipped with a newer more stable firmware. By the way - Meross support talked me through an alternative (non-home kit) way of setting this up too in order to get it connected for the firmware updated - so worth getting in touch with them if you're having similar problems before you throw it out the window. :DAnyhow, with the latest firmware I couldn't be happier enough with this product. It's robust (never lost connectivity), good value, it looks great, in my experience the Meross Customer Support actually cared about resolving my issue when I needed them, and the Sofware (iOS mobile app for me) is fabulous. So much so, that the number one feature I wanted that was absent when I purchased, has recently been added to the app (thanks Meross) which is heating history, so I can see how much the floor has been on - so so helpful at the moment to be able to calculate the cost of the floor heating in this day and age. See attached screenshots. The other thing that's great about it is it can just connect to your wifi with no separate hub needed (like some other smart thermostats) - super convenient. If you don't have strong enough wifi nearby, the 3 pack mesh routers available for a reasonable price these days are a great modern solution and will also benefit you in other ways. Now this is setup, I can control it easily, either by the wall, my apple HomeKit, or via the Meross app. All work hand-in-hand with each other.I would recommend this to anyone. Really happy.

Easy to install and set up
It's summer here in Australia at the moment, so yet to test it in the cold. However, the instructions were good, combined with the youtube video. All set up without any issues once I got my head around the Apple Homekit app (never used it before). Seems to work well - heating up an already warmish bathroom floor. Simple interface in the unit itself and also through the iPhone - looking forward to using it properly next winter.

Great when the hub works
I bought a couple of these to add with the meross smart thermostat, we have an old oil boiler system and this was a great way to get some smart features at a reasonable price. The TRV's were really simple to install and went onto my Drayton radiator tails with no issue, they do not like rechargeable AA batteries so could be costly over time with ordinary batteries. The set up is simple and the display on the TRV is clear and easy to use, I also like that they are quite smooth and hopefully not the dust trap that my previous TRV's were. They work great, most of the time, with Apple HomeKit, my only gripe with these is that the hub seems to keep dropping out which means that I cannot control from the HomeKit without rebooting the hub, however the timers don't appear to need the hub to work all the time after the initial set up has been completed.

Tado, Heatmiser etc are in trouble. This is cheap, stylish, and it works.
Used this to replace an Aube Th232 thermostat which is not wifi, ugly, and costs the same price (?!). We have Tado everywhere else and it is a real shame that Tado never got around to releasing an underfloor thermostat otherwise we would have probably stuck with that system. Instead, from now on and for any friends that ask me, I'm going to send them to Meross! Before switching the thermostat I had to check two things - the rated power: how many amps will my underfloor mat draw? Builder can't remember, can't rip up the floor to find out... gee what do I do?? Well don't stress - check the rating of the current thermostat (Aube TH232 is 15A) and compare to the rating of the new one (Meross is 16A). If new one can handle the same or higher, you should be fine - the underfloor sensor: this was an area of uncertainty for me but I found the answers I needed. For the TH232 I found the sensor specs here https://ensupport.getconnected.honeywellhome.com/s/article/What-is-the-resistance-of-the-floor-sensor-circuit-for-the-Aube-TH232-underfloor-heating-thermostat?language=en_US and specifically if you look at the PDF chart it has 10k resistance for a temperature of 25degC looking at the Meross on Amazon you see the spec is the same: "R25℃=10KΩ" (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thermostats-meross-Thermostat-Compatible-SmartThings/dp/B09K3Z4BD6/ref=sr_1_5?crid=31O74MARMGB2E&keywords=meross+thermostat&qid=1644772797&sprefix=meross+thermostat%2Caps%2C360&sr=8-5)It arrived quickly. Installation was ridiculously easy - had the exact same terminals on the back as the TH232 so just swapped it out. Wifi connection went fine. App works okI do see the negatives raised by other reviewers:- yes the daily schedule has 5 points even if you only need 2 and you have to set it for every day. Make a cup of tea and just click through it, it isn't that bad and you only have to do this once- no pre-warm. Ok keep that in mind and set your morning temperature to start an hour or two early. No problemAlso something else missing, which I find really helpful with Tado, is the ability to see a plot of temperature over time. This would, for example, help me work out how many hours it needs for pre-warm. No big deal though.Just ordering another two now for the other bits of underfloor. Any maybe some plugs too ...
