Bought this for my mom. It does the job.. I wish i could give it a 4.5 but I can't... but it's a 4.5.... star missing because it's HELL OF A LOT Heavy.. but it does the job. I would probably buy it again.. And it got here on time, as well!

I bought this for my house to make smoothies. It is very frustrating - it continually gets an air pocket and stops blending the food, so I have to stop it, open the top and stir it. I start it and the same thing happens over and over and over. The motor works but the fruit gets stuck around it and stays there until I stir the food.I have tried putting in a small amount each time until it is blended but that only works occasionally. I have tried using more liquid. Same problem. And I can't make a small smoothie because the blade sits up so high, it won't blend without more ingredients. That isn't as big a problem as the fact that it won't blend even larger amounts without taking an inordinate amount of time and constantly having to open the top and stir it.The VitaMix brand is designed so the food continually goes to the bottom and is blended but this product doesn't do that. The food gets stuck around the blades and that's it until I open the lid and stir it.It takes wayyyyy too long and is incredibly frustrating. I would have returned it but the box was inadvertently thrown out, so now we don't have the original packaging.I was expecting a much better blender for the price I paid for this one and for being a commercial model. How could a business use this with the time it takes? Disappointing.

I can not have too many of these.My business depends on it.I plan to buy more.It's well worth the purchase.

I own a Mexican Restaurant, it's now my best friend. Should of bought this a long time ago. You have to get used to it because it's so powerful. Easy to clean, use. Worth the investment for sure. You will get your investment back just on labor savings alone.

This product has great power, this is what it is, but for commercial quality and hard work it is not enough, this product only works well for the first year, after that it is crap. In my company it gave results and after a year the liquids began to spill and the spare parts did not work, that when the bearings are damaged and the carbons run out, the problems begin. I had faith in it and replaced them 3 years in a row, but it is not worth spending so much money on this product because it costs a lot to repair.

I just bought this blender but the silver jar has bars surrounding the upper part so you cant just throw things in unless they are small enough to go past the bars and you can't put your handdown to the blades either if you wanted to give the jug a good scrub. As you can see , a piece of ginger got stuck on the grid and did not get blended. Defeats having a large jug and having to cut bits and pieces. What is the point these bars as right now- its going back.Also, it can't crush ice as described. Even when submerged with water. The MX xtreme was more efficient to do this.Compared to size, the MX is cheaper, better and more powerful.Only, its smaller.I would also suggest that for the price, its worth checking out the vitamix XL which has a more powerful motor and slightly larger capacity and but disadvantage of no metal jug.
