The Kiss Curse: A Novel (The Graves Glen Series, 2)

I love this little series she created, and I definitely think the second book is better than the first, which I don’t feel like happens a lot for me. If you are looking for a short romance, witchy book, you’ll love it.

I put off reading this one until I knew II’d have plenty of uninterrupted time to read and it did not disappoint. Steamy love scenes, mystery, an awakening of who he is and a brief glimpse into the moment of when the two were classmates set this story up for what is to come. It definitely helps to have read the first book as things build from that story. If you haven’t, read that one first. Oh! If you have others around while you are “reading” but are actually listening to it, be prepared for lots of f-bombs.

Not my favorite but I didn't know it was a second in a series so maybe the first one will be better. It was entertaining tho.

Really liked this one, even better than the first in the series! Thought it was cute and a bit more sexy and also had a few surprises thrown in that kept me guessing

I am absolutely NOT normally a paranormal romance reader. I only read contemporary romances and I'm such a square that I can barely tolerate stories that revilive around a ridiculous inheritance stipulation.But damned if I didn't end up loving THE KISS CURSE!I loved the enemies-to-lovers hate banter.I loved the fiesty, quirky, badass heroine, Gwyn.I loved the slightly stuffy, uptight, Wells.I loved the story and the magic and the epically hot steamy scenes.I loved the super sweet HEA.Even if paranormal isn't your usual read, you should give THE KISS CURSE a read! Maybe it will convert you too. Now, lemme finish up this book review so I can go back and read the first book in this series! Am I....am I into witchy romances now? *cue: identity crisis*𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟: Rated R / 1-4 descriptive sex scenes, may have harsh language.𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗦: past death of parent𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗟𝗦: 2/5 - A bit of drama, but still a pretty light read.

These books are very fun. Big dollops of witty badinage and silly situations, combined with heated moments, well, yes, I like it a lot.

Perfect to kick off the start of spooky season reads, The Kiss Curse was funny and sexy with a sprinkle of danger and a lot of magic. Gwyn and Wells are full of fire, both literal and in terms of chemistry. Even though they hate each other at first, they soon find that there's a fine line between hate and love, and my goodness, was it fun to see. A romance at its heart, but with the dangers of magic and sinister plotting, secrets, and hidden family motives, this book was wonderfully done!

The book was a slow start. I was bored the first 18 chapters. I had a feeling it would pick up and eventually it did. I love Gwyn’s character so much. She was super relatable and funny. I love the dynamic between her and Vivi. Overall I think the book is cute and a nice palette cleanser and was nice around Halloween. I would recommend it.

It was a quick easy read. I don’t always love sequels that follow other characters but this one did a good job of that. It was cute, romantic and witchy.

That was good, I love the vibes this book gave. Again this is also a very easy read and good for if you want to start a light fantasy/spooky read. I'm excited about the third book!

I haven't read the book, but I was really disappointed when I saw the cover was damaged at the bottom, and a little bit on top.I was also surprised because the box where it came it didn't evidence any damage

Gwynnevere Jones ist nicht begeistert, als Llewellyn Penhallow sich entschließt, nach Graves Glen zu ziehen, doch sie ist wirklich sauer, als er dann auch noch einen Laden für Hexenartikel gegenüber ihres eigenen Zauberereiladens eröffnet!Doch je häufiger die beiden aneinanderraten, umso heftiger sprühen die Funken zwischen ihnen und schon bald müssen sie zusammenarbeiten, denn es sind neue Hexen in der Stadt, die nichts Gutes im Sinn haben."The Kiss Curse" von Erin Sterling ist der zweite Band der The Ex Hex Trilogie, der aus den personalen Erzählperspektiven von Gwynnevere Jones und Llewellyn Penhallow erzählt wird.Ich habe mich sehr auf Gwyns Geschichte gefreut, denn Vivis Cousine mochte ich schon im ersten Band richtig gerne! Sie ist selbstbewusst, abenteuerlich und war immer für Vivi da, wenn Vivi sie gebraucht hat! In diesem Band wird sie zur Mentorin von drei jungen Hexen, um ihr Wissen weiterzugeben, was ich auch sehr mochte, da die Baby Witches einfach niedlich waren, ebenso Sir Purrcival, Gwyns sprechender Kater!Wells ist der älteste Bruder von Rhys, Vivis Ehemann, der sich dazu entschließt, sein tristes Leben in Wales hinter sich zu lassen und in Graves Glen von vorne anzufangen. Wells drückt sich zum Teil sehr gewählt aus und ist genauso ein Sturkopf wie Gwyn, was ihren anfänglichen Konkurrenzkampf sehr unterhaltsam gemacht hat!Die Geschichte spielt im Oktober und in Graves Glen steht nicht nur Halloween vor der Tür, sondern auch das Graves Glen Gathering, das früher einmal der Gründertag war. Ich mochte die Atmosphäre wieder richtig gerne, denn ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt, obwohl es auch ein wenig schaurig wurde, was perfekt zur Jahreszeit gepasst hat!Zu Beginn können sich Gwyn und Wells nicht ausstehen, denn Gwyn ist absolut nicht begeistert, dass er seinen Laden Penhallow's Magical Goods direkt gegenüber des Something Wicked eröffnet hat und somit direkte Konkurrenz ist. Aber sie fühlen sich auch unbestreitbar zueinander hingezogen und besonders Gwyn ist überrascht, dass Wells doch ganz anders ist, als sie gedacht hat!Ich mochte die Liebesgeschichte richtig gerne, denn es war sehr unterhaltsam zu sehen, wie die beiden der Anziehungskraft erst versuchen zu widerstehen, bevor sie sich darauf einlassen und herausfinden, dass sie doch sehr gut miteinander harmonieren!Von der Geschichte hatte ich mir lange etwas mehr Spannung erhofft, allerdings muss ich auch sagen, dass mich das Ende sehr überraschen konnte, da es hier zwei Wendungen gab, die ich definitiv nicht vorhergesehen habe und die dann dafür gesorgt haben, dass mir die Geschichte doch richtig gut gefallen hat! Sie ließ sich auf jeden Fall sehr gut lesen, war unterhaltsam und auch der Humor hat mir sehr gefallen! Perfekt für zwischendurch!Fazit:"The Kiss Curse" von Erin Sterling ist ein toller zweiter Band der The Ex Hex Trilogie!Das Buch hat eine tolle Wohlfühlatmosphäre, auch wenn es mal schaurig wurde und die Liebesgeschichte von Gwyn und Wells war sehr unterhaltsam! Ich hätte mir insgesamt mehr Spannung gewünscht, aber auch so ließ die Geschichte sich richtig gut lesen und das Ende konnte mich positiv überraschen! Hier gab es zwei Wendungen, mit denen ich niemals gerechnet hätte und so bin ich auch mit dem Ausgang der Geschichte sehr zufrieden! Ich vergebe vier Kleeblätter!
