Must-Read for Aspiring ASL Interpreters
This book is helpful to give interpreting students an inside look at the real work of interpreting. Though other books exist which emphasize ethical issues and scenarios more, this one is a great introduction to interpreting ethics and considerations. This book is also a helpful how-to manual with regards to interpreting strategies for mediating cultures and conventions. I do wish the binding of the book was higher-quality; I have had two copies and both have issues with the spine being worn and cracked. The information is highly valuable, so I still definitely recommend it!

Good Book! DVD not so much....
The information in the book is fine, no complaint there but the DVD isn't Deaf friendly if you are a DI or CDI. That's the only drawback. Some people have suggested that if you are a DI or CDI try to negotiate a lower purchase price due to the problem with the DVD. I didn't do that because I didn't know this until after I got it. Maybe the next update will fix that.

Amazing service!
This book was in the condition I expected. The seller was easy to deal with along with expedited shipping. Received my order earlier than expected. Will be doing business again for future book needs.

Please inform buyer of the degree of writing in the book.
Good price but way too much writing in there. I would understand if there were actual notes but somebody underlined almost every sentence. It’s a bit excessive and makes it difficult to use as a study material.

Great info- tons of typos
Plenty of good information in this book... however, it is hard to take the book (and authors!) seriously considering literally every other page has a typo. It’s distracting. It’s crazy that this is required reading for college courses.

American Sign Language interpreters "bible"
Required for school. Considered to be the "bible" for sign language interpreters.

Deaf and hearing written
Great book I’m learning a lot and I like how a Deaf individual and a hearing interpreter co-wrote the book

The book is good, but Amazon really needs to inspect their product before sending it out.
The book is really good, I’ve used it for a lot of my classes for American sign language interpreting, but the book is ripped in half and halfway taped up, it’s bent up, and it’s been used. I ordered a brand new book. Amazon really fell short with this product. And now I can’t even get a replacement because they are out.
