Just got my order yesterday and had to haul an aluminum handicap ramp (in pieces) today. Not only do they work well but the best part is that they roll up nicely and pack away in the included storage bag with NO hassle. Gone are the days of wasting time trying to untangle the ratchet straps before I can even tie down the load.OH, one more thing--they're also easier to strap the load, and you don't have to figure out how to tie off the excess strap to keep it flapping in the wind. I plan to replace ALL of my tie down straps with these.

These are truly the best ratchet straps I’ve ever found. Buy them- you won’t be disappointed. No more fumbling with the excess strap while trying to tighten and then wondering what to do with it afterward. Cuts down on the time when trying to tie down my scooter so I’m not struggling and frustrated in the hot sun or rain.

Let's start by me saying I HATE ratchet straps with a passion. I've had to use them regularly for the past ten years, and lately it's near daily. Either music and camera gear going from location to location or my company's fleet vehicles it was a daily chore to untangle and reset straps to use them.If I didn't set the strap the first time forget about it, everyone knows what I'm talking about here, I'd get tangled / stuck / incorrectly looped straps back and spend more time readying them for use than it would take to secure the cargo.Well that's changed with these. I originally ordered four of the 1,500 1x10 straps to test and when I received the package I thought I had been sent the wrong ones because the strap had said 500 pounds. I contacted the seller and the error was on my part. I'm used to companies putting the break strength on the strap, almost all of them do that. These guys put the working load on the strap, 1/3rd of the break strength. The seller responded lightning fast and very throughly, I know if I were contacting about any other issue that they would be on top of that as well which is important to me.These are amazing to use. The clip on the hook is a great feature I never knew I missing, regardless of retractable or not I highly recommend that for all future straps. While in use these straps allow me to achieve the same level of tightness I've grown comfortable with, where the retractable straps I've tried from the big box brands wouldn't let me ratchet it much tighter than a bungee would. Now the real reason for buying these and my hatred of regular straps was all about the set up / break down and thats where these really shine. I clip one end to the tie point and just pull it over the load to the other tie point and clip. I ratchet it to the desired level and that's it (I'm certain these would let you over tighten if you wanted or needed to, so thats a feature in my book and not a flaw). Releasing the strap is just as simple as a normal strap except no wiggling it to get enough loose to undo the straps, it instantly releases all tension and becomes so easy to work with. Unclip a hook and the strap feeds itself back and resets all ready to go again. No more mess of straps in the backseat tangled up, no more loose excess coming loose and flapping all over requiring you to pull over and retie to look professional. These things do it all for you.I'm going to purchase these and the seller's 3300 strength for my whole fleet and as gifts for anyone that uses ratchet straps because it takes the brain out of it, and for someone with back pain like myself it's been a little bonus to not have to pull the strap tight before ratcheting. Could not recommend these type straps enough, and I highly recommend this seller because of the customer experience I've received.It's only been a few uses so far but since I'll be using these almost daily I'll update if there's any problems.

My first retractable ratchet straps and I've been using them for two years now. I've probably used them 30 times. Finally, one has gotten stuck and will no longer tighten. it'll feed out and retract but when you try to ratchet it, the ratchet won't rotate. They've been kept out of the weather but I still figure they are good straps. I'd buy them again.

Do not want any other strap. No more rolling excess straps. Compact and easy to use.

I love these things so easy to use compared to old style straps I'm replacing all my old ones with these also love the bag so you can throw them behind a seat instead of leaving them to weather in the bed

In the past I have bought several of the basic ratchet straps but have to admit I hated them as I did not know how to use them.I recently watched a YouTube video on how to use them and finally leaned, so I bought another set of 4 at Canadian Tire. Now just a few weeks later I see this type on Amazon and bought them.The difference is black and white, hot and cold, day and night compared to the basic strap.These are super easy to use and no tangle no big roll to put away somewhere, or tie up the excess slack. I would say these are 20 times faster then the basic ones. Yes a bit more expensive but worth every dollar.Now since this is my first ever of using these straps I cannot comment on how long they will hold up or if they stop self reeling in or anything else but so far they work perfect and seem really well made just by their heavy wight also. They also come with a nice storage bag.I would say if you are still using the older type then you might as well go back to black and white TV. Probably within the next 5 years or so, one will not even see those older types for sale as no one would buy them if this type is also for sale.In my picture you can see them hanging up, taking very little space and ready to go to work.

These straps are great to use, so simple and easy. The hooks have a gate to keep them in place, allowing one person usage. Self-recoiling strap holder keeps everything neat and tidy.
