It works fine as is! But I noticed that with the clamps closed they can shift a little which causes parts of the clamps to rub slightly (!) on the posts when accessing the back the hoop. I want butter smooth swiveling and added a small washer (similar in size to the ones that came with it) plus a ~ 1 1/4 fender washer to fix that. Works great now!Would recommend the stand though.Update 4/22/21I’m changing from 4 to 5 stars after using it for an entire embroidery project in a 9” hoop. Full disclosure, I had ordered this stand after I got so frustrated with another hoop stand at day 1 of that embroidery project that was ready to abandon the project. Working with the other stand wasn’t that sturdy, too much wobble for my liking, and to access the back at the angle I wanted (which was needed a lot because I made several mistakes) I had to take the hoop out of the other stand, then change the lighting and magnifier setup etc. which was all a royal pain and not my idea of stitching pleasure.Not with this! This stand is incredibly sturdy! Super easy and fast to access to the back, I don’t have to mess with light and magnifier. I have several high end stands for scroll frames, and the before mentioned other hoop stand. For me this is the missing link and a game changer for some projects. I love it and wish I had found and bought it sooner. Considering how much I have spent on other stands I don’t think this is overpriced and worth every penny.

I am in love with this stand. It is so easy to assemble that no directions are needed. It's beautiful plain wood that can be stained or painted if you wish to do so. It holds the hoop securely. The hoop can be tilted to work on the project, you can turn the main shaft to get the hoop in another position. I have arthritis in my left hand really bad and it's starting in my right. This allows me to embroider without straining my hands to hold and move the hoop. All I have to do is slip the long paddle under my leg, fasten in my hoop, and off I go. I can and have worked for hours without realizing how much time had gone by because there was no strain on my hands. Or eyes. The center pole can be extended so it can be put on a stool instead of under the leg to work on it. It does not extend high enough to put it on the floor and work from a chair. So happy I bought. More than worth the money.

Cute and convenient but was wobbly. Had to cut up index cards and tape them on two bottom corners so it wouldnt wobble. Easy to use once you get the hang of it

Quality hoop frame stand is well made and will last a life time, as with all things, if it is taken care of. The frame is solid wood and metal parts (screws, washers), no plastic. Frame is very sturdy and adjustable. The frame supports slide to adapt to a larger hoop and you can tighten the supports so there is no sliding. The frame can easily hold a 12 inch hoop. (I'm sure it can take a larger but a 12" hoop is enough for me). The price is reasonable considering the hoop is all wood and has a smooth surface that will not snag your fabric. I am very happy with this purchase, as are most of the other reviewers who are 'in love' with this frame, I am too! Instructions and photos, are clear and are easy to understand. The frame is easy to assemble in just a few minutes. I highly recommend this hoop stand you won’t be disappointed. (Be sure and save frame’s box for storage for the times you won’t be using it , I almost threw mine out.). I plan to keep my angle screw driver stored with my embroidery floss - I think that the best place for me - when I get into my floss I'll see the screw driver.

This was easy enough to assemble and the quality is decent. My only qualm with it is that it seems to only be compatible with thinner, cheaper hoops. I've taken to working with real wood hoops, which tend to be a bit thicker (not terribly so, though) and I wrap them with twill tape (common practice in embroidery to keep the hoop from creasing or leaving lines on your fabric). This will not hold wrapped wooden hoops, as it just cannot accommodate something that thick without adapting various parts for such use. I'm keeping it, but my husband is going to have to disassemble and adapt the parts so that it will work for me.

I bought this for my embroidery projects; it was really easy to assemble. My hands are getting a little arthritic; this really keeps the hoop stable and I don't have the joint pain any more, which is excellent. It is extremely well engineered, I noticed that when I put it together. Everything fits together perfectly, and there's a really helpful diagram, so you know where all the pieces go. I can tell I'll be using this for many years. Thanks for making this!

This pieces is in it's roughest form. While it is sanded, it is doesn't have a finish/seal. The wooden dowell going into the base is too wide and won't go all the way in. The wood screw to hold the said, too big rod in place, doesn't screw all the way in, so even if the rod for, it wouldn't hold it in place. The clamp, which should hold the hoop doesn't clamp down securely. I am assuming that is because it doesn't have an additional nut for the back of the clamp, so the hoop wobbles in the clamp. I'm extremely disappointed in the purchase!!

When I embroider my left hand would get so sore from gripping the hoop, this makes it so much easier to sew for longer periods of time

I watched the assembly video several times to make sure I had the stand out together correctly. It does not hold hoops at all. At best, you still need to use your other hand to prevent the hoop from falling out, so you’ve got one hand to stitch with. At worst, the hoop simply falls out from the “clamps” and you’re left to keep picking it up. Beyond disappointed with this purchase, it absolutely does not serve its purpose. I’ve tried several different sizes / styles of hoops as well.

The product looks fine - but #4 parts to assemble it are not in the package. Please send the parts or a new complete product. Please advise.

Beautiful product, very easy to assemble and exactly what I was looking for. You need the provided tools to move the arms for each product but it’s well worth the time to be able to use it with any hoop size!Doesn’t feel cheap or rough, has a nice smooth finish and came in great shape. Took forever to get here but was so worth it!

It is a little bit hard to set up the legs and holders for what I am doing. Once set up it works great.
