First pair I purchased in 1998 and the clog itself lasted through 2019 with many years of abuse through ICU nursing, and anesthesia school. Of course, I replaced the inserts a couple times through the years and the tread, like tires, became smooth, but the shell itself lasted and is still lasting as my backup garage shoe.So in 2021, decided there was no other choice. Welp, sad to say, one of the shells on this new pair is completely cracked through after 2 years. Not sure if this is an outlier, or the QC at Birk has changed, but definitely disappointed in this new experience.
