Size:4oz  |  Pattern Name:Saltwater Nualgi Aquarium is the result of over 15 years of extensive research which has now made it possible to clean the saltwater aquarium water of nuisance algae naturally. It is the fourth generation of patented nano-silica based micronutrient that was experimented for 9 years in the laboratory and for 8 years in the field and is now clinically proven as an excellent alternative to harmful algaecides that were used to remove the nuisance algae. Nualgi Aquarium works at the microscopic level and stimulates the growth of diatom algae in saltwater aquariums. The diatom algae grow exponentially and vie for nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium. Being stronger, diatom algae survives by stealing more nutrients for its growth and starves the nuisance algae to death. This natural process clears the saltwater aquarium of the nuisance algae, without using any chemical or harmful substance. It also increases the levels of dissolved oxygen in water and replenishes the water with essential nutrients required by fishes as well as coral reefs. Nualgi Aquarium (saltwater) comprises special formulation of the following nutrients: 1.Iron 2.Manganese 3.Cobalt 4.Copper 5.Zinc 6.Molybdenum 7.Boron 8.Silica 9.Calcium 10.Magnesium 11.Sulfur 12.Phosphorus 13.Potassium These nutrients, being micro in size, remain suspended in water for a longer period of time and reach every corner of your saltwater aquarium for uniform absorption at all the places, resulting in cleaner tank from all sides. Besides, Nualgi Aquarium provides free nutritious food to your fishes. The diatoms are eaten by the zooplanktons in the aquarium, which in turn becomes the food for your fishes. To sum it all up, Nualgi Aquarium, not just removes the nuisance algae, which often is the primary concern. But, it also improves the nutrient balance in water, improves water clarity, makes fishes and reefs healthy, and feeds your fishes.

THE HAIR ALGAE IS DISAPPEARING IN MY AQUARIUM. GREAT PRODUCT.
This product surprised me at how quickly it began working. My 55 gallon freshwater tropical aquarium has timed LED lights that are great for plant growth. But a side effect that's common w/ the LED's is massive growth of hair algae. It's nasty stuff to look at covering attractive rock, wood and gravel features. It also gets all over your plants. I used this stuff about 2 weeks ago according to the directions. A week went by and I daily thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. Now I'm convinced it works. There is now far less hair algae on the rocks. In this 2 year old tank the colors on the rocks are again visible, in some areas the algae is nearly gone! On the wood the algae is now much smaller. None of my fish eat that algae so I don't know what's eating it, perhaps the diatoms as the description claims. In addition the fish remain healthy and in good color. Being that it's only been 2 weeks we'll see how it continues over time but so far it's incredible.

No Apparent Results
I used the bottle as recommended until it ran empty over a course of three months and it didn't seem to have any effect on anything in the tank whatsoever. On paper it sounds great but I didn't see any change in well, anything in my tank. The bio filter performed exactly the same. Small spots of algae were unphased and light diatom growth on the glass didn't expand nor shrink. It seems to be equally as useful as purified water. If you're looking to control algae or diatom growth, this product is just about worthless. There might be some effect on a microscopic level, but overall the effects on the biological system as a whole were minor. I read the reviews and looked at different experiences on forums and had pretty high expectations, but after seeing its actual impact, it can be easy to argue that its simply a placebo.Needless to say, it doesn't work. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 solely because I lack the equipment necessary to observe it on a microscopic level. From simple observation and simple parameter measurements however, there was no apparent effect.

Sounds like snake oil, but at least in my case, it worked
Firsrt of all, this review applies only to my densely planted tank, not to a salt tank or a bare glass tank. While the product does NOT eliminate all algae (in particular, you might need American flagfish to handle small amounts of surviving hair algae), I still decided to give it 5 stars because it's the best product on the market for the purpose, without being expensive to maintain like a UV sterilizer or poisonous like algicide. Definitely, for best results, use an ammonia remover in if your tap water contains ammonia as part of chloramine treatmeant, because excess ammonia following a water change will enrich algae. I used 1.5 mL of this stuff every 4 days for 12 days in my 40-gallon tank, and it heavily suppressed my waterbourne algae problem, which otherwise would have been obvious in less than a week. But the main reason for the 5-star rating was: After a week, I had a modest amount of hair algae on the glass, even though the tank was otherwise nearly clear. When I scraped it off into the water, the water of course immediately turned a tinge of green. But 2 days later, it was back to being nearly clear. The only weird effect has been the accumulation of small greenish dots on the water surface. I don't know what these are, but they seem to be harmless and in any event occupy only a small fraction of the surface. It seems like nonsense that only 1.5 mL of this stuff every 4 (or up to 7) days can achieve such effects, but I have to admit that it worked in my case. The reduced time and water waste is well worth the price. (After 12 days, my tank looks like it usually does on day 2 or 3.) My only complaint is that it seems to contain phosphorous, which is completely unnecessary because fish food and tap water and generally loaded with it to begin with.

No Magic Here!
I used both the pond product and the aquarium Nualgi with no visible results after several months. I am not saying it won't work for you, all water is different. My waterfalls and bog pond still produce the same amount of string algae, and it did nothing to eliminate the black algae in my ninety gallon planted tank. After using other chemicals other years, I am done wasting money on bottles of stuff that don't work. Manual algae removal is the only thing that works for me. My water is moderately hard with a PH of 7.8, no iron, high in calcium.

Pretty expensive...
Pretty expensive and did not seem to have an effect. Followed recommended dosage. It would be great to get my money back as I still have algae in my planted tanks.

Works ok
No real complaints. We still have a bit of an algae problem, but the water is clearer than before.

This time around I haven't had the results I would have expected yet.
This time around I haven't had the results I would have expected yet. Using a walstad method planted tank and I'm still seeing lots of algae growth on the backglass.
