product is as described, however, comparing to products you might purchase at HD all of the c-Clamp products on Amazon are described as light duty and when compared to products elsewhere e.g. HD. you can visually see the difference. The product is durable and able to perform all work falling within the parameters described. the threads used to secure your work on this C-Clamp are well crafted and work flawlessly to apply pressure. I would purchase again if other resources were simple not available.

Amazon has it on sale for 1/4 of regular price which makes it a great great deal!Product-wise, high quality. Recommended.

The Bessy 3 inch CM34DR has a 4 1/2 inch reach (throat) which is pretty awesome for it's size and even more awesome if you've ever not been able to clamp a project because your C-clamp was "the more vertical kind" that couldn't extend that far. It's drop-forged with a heavy "T" cross-section to keep it rigid and prevent it from bending under stress. There are larger clamps that will go 4 1/2" and more, but they're also large and heavy and A LOT more expensive. This one is a really good deal and I'm glad I bought 2!

These are not 1200 pound clamps. They are 800 pound! And they are silver color, not black. But still decent clamps.

These appear to be of good quality. Clamping pad flat. Good clamp.

So far product work well and is solid. Does what it was designed to do.

I didn't have a C-clamp that could open to eight inches. It was on sale at a great price.
