Wish the edges were smoother, causes me to HAVE to use it inside the case. Which weakens the magnetic strength of the mount point (falls of the mount on road bumps). If I use it outside the case with the double-stick backing, it scratches everything I lay it on (painted porch table, wood office desk, etc). I might even describe it as "sharp". Too late to return.

The glue on these are terrible. I placed the metal plate on my phone and put a textbook on top of it for an hour to make sure it sticked well to the phone. When I put my phone on the car mount then took it off, the metal plate came off of my phone. I believe it would work very well if it would just stay glued to my phone.

It's a piece of metal with tape on it. And it sticks to things. The metal has iron in it....it works on magnets. Good job!

I needed some extra plates to go with my scosche car mount and these work just like the plates supplied with the scosche mount, actually a little bigger too. So if you feel like saving a few bucks I recommend going with these over other brands.
