EZ Change Dog I.D. Clip with Silencer

I have been searching for precisely such a product for ages. It works beautifully while not adding weight. It both silences tags, while also protecting them from tag-on-tag scratches. I did not use the clips included, attaching the silicon tags to the key rings on which I had tags.

This is about 7/8" long on the outside, about 5/8" wide on the outside, and about 5/8" long on the inside. The wire is about 1/8" thick.There's not a lot of info in the description, so I bought this with mostly optimism and hope. I was hoping this would work for my pets' ID tags. I haaaaaate those little split rings and the S-clamps that come with ID tags, but I have small/medium dogs so the tags can not hang down very far. This clip is only a tiny bit lower than the hateful little split rings would be.The dogs have a variety of rabies tags, microchip tags, and personalized ID tags from multiple manufacturers. All of the tags slid right onto the clip. Yes! No problems getting them on, even the tags that have a "key collar" to mute the jangling.The gate clip opening went onto smaller D-rings easily. It took a little pushing to get it open enough to fit onto thicker D-rings or harness O-rings, but it did clip on and close again. I think it'll come back off too. At least it's got a good strong closure mechanism!The tags are not noticeably lower than they were before. The tags won't interfere with the dogs' legs or swing around and smack them in the chest. Excellent.From the description here, I wasn't sure how the clip might hold up to the beating the dogs will give it, since they will bang their tags on anything they brush their chest up against (bushes, food bowls, etc). The problem with S-clamps is that they snag or they deform from this kind of abuse. But this clip seems extremely sturdy and the gate clip seems quite strong, so I have high hopes. I'll come back and edit the review if it gives out quickly, but I hope it won't be an issue :)The fit to pet ID tags and the size of this clip are perfect. I hope it's as durable as it looks.

Before this, the dog's latest rabies tag would get lost or sit around forever in dad's pile of 'stuff to get to'. Now almost anybody in the house can put this on their pet's collar to easily add/change an immunization or ID tag, without tools or breaking a nail. They're the little gadget that can make responsible pet ownership a little easier for the less able or elderly (especially when weakness, tremor, or poor coordination is involved), those for whom their pets mean so much, and who may not be able to go after a dog should one get out. These clips also make fun little gifts or stocking stuffers for young adult pet owners. We have been using this clip for over a year now with no problems. We generally take it off and on at least once a day. Our dog has a training collar for walks, and we can just clip his tags on to that instead of awkwardly dealing with two collars. I also like to change up his regular collar pretty often for a clean or just different one.It's not easy to get off, but it's not hard either. It's very secure, yet makes changing collars simple. Clipping back on again is easy.I've bought a couple other quick change clips that broke pretty quickly. (luckily I didn't lose the tags!) This one has held up to a year of heavy use without breaking.*update*As things do, they wear out eventually. I'd say each clip lasts a little over a year, which is perfectly reasonable to me. It's not the hinge that breaks, but the metal on metal rubbing eventually wears down the hook and thins to the the point of breaking. Same problem I've had with regular ring connectors and even the hole on the tags themselves. Fortunately, you can easily see when it's wearing to that point, so you can replace it before losing your tags.5 years later, and I still love these and they are very secure and easy to change. Will keep buying them as needed.

These are fantastic! My cat lost his collar that had his identification on it. Found it and put it back on. Problem solved right? Nope, that night he lost it again!Bought a new collar, but it didn't have a D ring. So for months my indoor only cat has had no identification and that was concerning. He is microchipped, but I wanted his info easily accessible should he get lost and found by somebody with no car.This week I bought extra tags and collars. But the split rings are such a pain. I came across this product and thought for $2.99 it was worth a shot. And it certainly was! This works perfectly with my cats spare tag and I was able to attach it to his collar without a D ring. My cat now has notification again! I plan to buy more of these for cat tags or even to easily attach stuff to mine or my husbands keys. Thank you!

I like the product. It does what it is supposed to do. I really like how it came in a package of two. It appears to be strong and dependable. It was fairly easy to get the clip onto my dog's collar. It so far does not bother my dog, and I actually love how I can now hear my dog coming, whereas before my dog was silent. The jingle it makes is music to my ears as it provides me with comfort knowing where my dog is.My only complaint about the product was that it hurt my finger to push it open enough to get the tags on and to hook it to the collar. Still, it was pretty easy to do so but given that the product is strong, it wasn't the easiest or daintiest task. But in reality, I appreciate the strength and sturdiness of the clip. It makes me think that the clip will last a long time.

Wanted to be able to be able to easily switch my puppys tags between his collar and harness and as he grows. This works well. And I think it will hold up over time. I think the silencer tags are a little pointless since his tags are not all the same size and don't align on the silencer. Also it's important to note that the thickness of the clip is slightly wider than will fit some of his tags. So those had to stay on a keyring. Package came taped together to hold all 4 pieces.

Bought in May 2020, adult dog's lasted until March 2021. The other lasted my puppy about a month. Must have come off during play or swim, because I can't find either of their tags anywhere.My puppy managed to eat the silicon tag sound dampener off my adult dog's tag, and we "found" it on a bathroom break, so uh, at least those will pass through.But yeah, product seemed to work great until it disappeared. So probably not great for those with more active dogs.

I like these because depending on how much fur my dog has I need to switch up collars and hate changing tags. Like that this comes with a silicone silences but dislike that there is not locking mechanism (though the spring is pretty strong)

I wasn't sure if it would go on my dogs collar ring which is bigger, but with a little persuasion it fits perfect. The rubber rounds do the trick preventing jingling of the tag and keeps the back of tag information from getting worn. Thanks.

Tengo dos perros no precisamente pequeños ni de baja energía, así que es una situación recuerrente que la argolla tipo llavero de donde cuelga su placa identificadora del collar se rompa en el día a día durante un paseo o mientras juegan, y se pierda la placa. Ya he perdido sus placas varias veces así, por lo que este clip de seguridad me quitó ese problema además de permitir poder cambiar la placa de collar rápida y fácilmente. Ya nunca vuelvo a usar las argollas de llavero.
