I have lymphadema in my face, neck, chest, and arms from both chemotherapy and a doube-mastectomy. While seeing a physical therapist twice a week, the swelling would go down and stay away, but about two months after my PT schedule was completed, the swelling would come back. My hands are arthrtic so I cannot do self-massage for an effective amount of time and I struggle with even and consistent pressure.After struggling with massage, getting very frustrated with living with lymphadema, I know I need a long-term solution to this problem (I don't want to/cannot afford to go to my PT every time the swelling gets ahead of me and I can't keep up with it).It's only been a short amount of time since I've been using this tool, but I can say it already makes self-massage much easier and more importantly, more enjoyable. I don't dread the time I spend doing massage and actually find it relaxing. I haven't seen a definitive result yet, but so far I can say that the tool is smooth and came in great condition. I drop things often so I opted for the metal version for durability and hygiene.***Please not that I am not a medical professional. I first bought the green stone one and within a week I managed to break it! It slipped out of my greasy fingers and onto the tile floor! I immediately ordered the stainless one after realizing it was an option… I didn’t the first purchase or I would have gotten that one first. Either was I enjoy using it and see results slightly after but haven’t been using long enough so we’ll see. If you’re on the face go with the stainless if you’re a clutz like me

I love the feel of the stainless steel gua sha. It glides really well. I used to have a stone one but prefer the weight and smoothness of the stainless steel. I use this twice a week and it has helped ease tension on my face and neck. It also helped me pay attention to the contours of my face and neck. I watched a few videos online to learn the proper techniques of using this device. Make sure you use a good face oil that is noncomedogenic.

I bought this because I wasn't a fan of the jade and rose quartz gua sha tools I already had. This is vastly superior and I am seeing a difference in my jawline already, after about 2 weeks of use. It has a nice weight, is easy to hold, and easy to clean/disinfect.
