Bought this for my mom, she's very happy with them. She used to use some kitchen cloth to hold hot pots, sometimes the tip of the cloth fell on the stove's fire, it was a mess.At first she wasn't convinced that a piece of "plastic" will not melt because of the pot's high temperature. After she put a big pot of hot stew over one of it for a very long time (a few hours until it was at room temperature) and a lot of visits to the kitchen just to make sure it wasn't melted already, she convinced it was a great choice.Using them to hold hot pots, it's easier, the silicone is very flexible and has a nice grasp, it doesn't slip and it barely transfers any heat to your palm hands.

These are very nice silicone pot holders/trivets. The flexibility is perfect for grabbing onto boiling lava hot pots and baking sheets out of the oven. Great for use as a non-slip or non-skid surface around the house. I imagine these would be great for cast iron cookware that doesn't already have a silicone handle cover. I wish there were other color options available, or at least option to get a set of 4 in all the same color.
