I chose this Wall Nanny to secure the new gate as much as possible. Because of the structure of my walls having wood trim at the base, I attached the long Wall Nanny, otherwise I could not secure the gate at the wood trim (built in 1978). Furthermore, I am only using the gate for keeping my wild puppy from running speed circles around through the kitchen and living room, preventing me from catching him and retrieving my belongings from his mouth! Definitely, the setup I have with the wood trim is not secure enough for children, as it can easily be bumped out of position. Thankfully, my puppy hasn't even tried to jump up onto it or lean into it, so it is staying in place beautifully.

Excellent product! I bought from another company, a bit cheaper, and they would not stay in place, just slid all over the wall. Not good with a baby gate. This is the second set I bought from this company, one brown and one white, and they do NOT slide at all. Best of all, and maybe why they are so much better, they are MADE IN AMERICA! Gotta love that.

I used these to even out the space between my front door entrance for installation of an XL baby gate. Very easy process to install. I used 2 wall nanny's on brick and the other 2 on vinyl siding. They have been up a month and have held great in the hot humid weather and the occasional rain storm. Would definitely repurchase.

We appreciate the fact they can be moved and used over and over where needed. No sticking it to the wall, just hold it in place and stick the gate tensioners in place and you’re good to go!

I use my gate to keep my dogs in the kitchen. My kids wanted me to get a walk through gate and so I bought your product to keep my gate firmly in place and it protects my walls from scrapes and dents!! Thank you.

We ordered these for out outside gate we purchased and used it to protect the stucco on our house and the block wall, and it helped to secure the gate as well so it didn’t move.

I did not think that I would actually need to use these...luckily, I found it necessary as the gate was at its max opening for usage. These wall nanny(s) came in handy to not only better secure the gate, but also were high quality made. It allows for a larger footprint of coverage on the drywall. As I am not sure there is a stud behind it. I feel confident in the stability it has provided and the fact that when I eventually remove the gate, there will be no indentions in the drywall surface. For that alone I highly recommend using these handy pads! -Ray

I have used these for several baby gates to contain a couple of large foster puppies. Since I haven’t wanted to drill into the walls, pressure mounting was a better choice for me. These pads help stabilize the end caps against the wall, while diffusing the pressure against the wall to help prevent denting. Very pleased.

I saw this product in another house and was most impressed. Does not suit every situation but holds the gate fast and prevents damage to the paint and plaster on the wall.

Does exactly what you expect. There are holes that you could use to screw them on to the wall, but we found that the rubber/silicon pads provided enough grip, when the gate is pushed against the walls, that screwing wasn't necessary. Really helped with the skirting boards as well by providing a wider contact area to the wall. We haven't taken them off yet of course, but as there is no screwing or adhesive I can only assume that the walls will be unmarked at the end of use.
