Stainless steel grates
Longer lasting than standard grates. Expensive upgrade but worth it in my opinion. Portable Kitchen is the best cast aluminum charcoal grill made.

Should be original equipment - a great product.
My old original grate lasted 3 years of heavy use and limped through a 4th. This is a vastly improved version and I am glad PK is offering it. Would be 5 stars but they should now include it as original equipment on new grills. It wasn't available at all when I bought my grill. Not sure their plans in the future.I've seen that some have a fit issue. Mine fits fine but shifts 1/4" when you rotate the opening portion of the grill up. Not a big deal at all and it shifts back when you rotate it down. This is thick stainless rod and I think the steel hinged side is just levering a little on the side of the grill wall. I am far happier with the robust design regardless.

This is very heavy duty stainless. I think it will hold up well.

Doesn’t fit
It says it should fit ok grills made after 2000 or something. I got mine in2020. The thing is very well built but it won’t fit my grill. I had to pay ups $20 for them to package it. . Don’t buy it.
