A Really Cool Cat Fountain
I bought the green edition of this cat fountain, expecting it to come with two motors and three filters like the image for the green fountain shows. I saw multiple reviews that said they received extra filters and a spare motor in their package and felt confident mine would also come with between the picture and the reviews. I was mildly disappointed to find my fountain only came with one of each. All of that said, my cats love this fountain. I have 7 cats, and this fountain has something that appeals to each of them. They all love it, after thoroughly inspecting the fountain, they all drank for what seemed like forever the first time they visited the fountain. I love the green color of this fountain as it looks more natural, and all the different levels accommodate cats of different sizes. Overall it's a really cool cat fountain.

Exactly What You're Looking For
So if you're like me you probably started looking around for cat fountains without really knowing much about them, just being familiar with the concept. It's always scary finding something for your pet that can affect their health, because it has to improve the problem (water consumption for cats) while also not making anything worse (dirty/scummy water.)I can say after spending over an hour of searching, reading reviews, watching videos, and educating myself on activated charcoal filtration systems, that this fountain is the holy grail of cat fountains. I'll outline some issues I saw people having with other fountains that led me to choose this one.Worms in the filter: Some lower-end fountains apparently have filters that lend themselves as nice habitats for worms or other bugs to lay eggs. This is not really possible with this fountain, which you'll realize once you see it. There's two filters, a small carbon filter that is always under the water, and a foam filter that goes around the inside of the little tower. They are both concealed at all times, and easily accessible when refilling, you just pull the tower off and you can inspect everything and make sure it's all clean. Don't be alarmed if there's a small ring around the water level when you first fill it, that's just some loose carbon from the new filter, it'll stop after a little while, and is completely harmless/odorless/tasteless.Noise Level: It's completely silent. 100% zero noise from anything mechanical. Sitting right next to it you can hear a small splash every 10-15 seconds. That's literally it. I plugged it in and I didn't even realize it had turned on at first because I couldn't hear it at all.Assembly: Very very simple. The pump sticks to the bottom of the bowl with some suction cups, and then you install the two filters and put the tower on top. Fill it and plug in and that's it!Appearance: Really nice, it's not even obvious right away that it's for an animal, it honestly looks like it could be a nice decoration depending on where you put it.Spare Parts: I'm not sure if this is even mentioned in the listing, but I was delighted to find that the fountain comes with one extra pump/motor, which is supposed to last for ~2 years anyway, as well as two extra carbon filters (3 total). The carbon filters are supposed to be replaced every 2-3 weeks, maybe longer if you only have one cat, like I do. So you have a pretty nice kit right from the start.Cleaning: It's porcelain so it's very easy to clean. You just take the tower out, then unstick the pump, and then the base + tower can go in the dishwasher if you want. I haven't needed to do that yet, I've just been rinsing out everything with tap water so far and it's been keeping pretty clean.Cat's Opinion: Every cat is different, so yours might have an issue for some reason. What I can say is my cat loves it, he can drink out of the lower basin and the tower no problem, and he's drinking a very healthy amount of water since we got it. He was a little weirded out at it at first but once he realized it was cool, gentle water he started to really like it.Bottom line, do your research and see what issues people have with other fountains. Then come back here and see that none of them apply to this one.

Stupid Cat Uses Fountain
One of our cats discovered howling for his water -- water on the shower floor. We made the mistake of hanging the shower hand-held, and running water at a dribble. (Thus we were stuck waiting on the cat.) We put the fountain near the shower. This is a solid, good-looking piece. Came with two pumps and two filters, but that may have been a shipping error. (Don't try to figure out set-up incorporating two pumps.) Stupid cat uses the fountain. Not noisy at all. Top-up every four-days. Don't let dish run dry or bye, bye pump.

Great Pet Water Fountain
Love this cat water fountain so much. My cats only drink from the faucet and they were driving us insane constantly meowing for us to turn on the faucet. Once we bought this they don’t even bother drinking from the water faucet anymore! It’s extremely sturdy and doesn’t get turned over. If you are on the fence about buying this...do it!
