Love it!
This mat is great! It makes rolling out dough so easy and less messy! It sticks to the counter well. It doesn't slide around while you're trying to work and when you're done, you just pick it up and dump the excess flour in the trash, rinse it off and put it away. My only criticisim would be that because of the material that it's made of, it attracts dust, crumbs, etc. Espeically on the back side, which can affect it's ability to stick to the counter fully and it can be difficult to get all that stuff off. I wish it had come with a some type of storage case/projector. I use a clean dish towel or papertowel and roll it up in that so it doesn't stick to itself and it does help keep dust and such away from it when it's not being used. So, in terms of functionality, I would give it 5 stars, but because it is hard to keep clean when not in use since it doesn't come with a protective cover, wrap or container I marked it as 4 stars. Also, and this was not a factor in the rating, but I wish it was a little bigger. I read the full description and knew the measurements, but it's still smaller than I antiicpated it to be. It still works well. I might keep my eyes open for larger one down the road, but for now this one works great. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase!

Wish I'd bought it sooner
This pastry mat is so easy to use. It doesn't slip while I'm working. It cleans up easily with a wet sponge. The pie circles are nice to have. I had been rolling out dough on the countertop or a silpat and I am typically reluctant to buy single-purpose items. But this mat is simply better: nonslip, easier cleanup, handy information. Worth the modest purchase and the storage space in my cabinet. The one small thing that could be improved, I think, is that it can be easy to get lost in the concentric pie rings. If I'm trying to roll out to a certain size, I wish it were easier to pick that ring out of all of the other rings that look exactly the same. I wish the rings alternated colors, or that some of the rings were dashed or dotted (so they would show through baking paper). But this is a small peeve, and I'd happily buy this mat again.

What's not to like! The mat stays where it is placed while you work the dough. The "circle guides" are very helpful particularly for forming pizza. The "border measurements" are useful when recipe instructions say something like " roll into a 9 X 13 rectangle".Requires a minimal amount of flour (if any) for surface dusting. Quite often the the residue of oil/shortening which you coated your bowl with is sufficient to provide a good non-stick surface upon which to prep, form or shape dough.Storage is easy; Wipe clean and dry the printed surface and place that side down on a clean surface. Then fold as you would a napkin and it fits nicely into a 1 qt ziploc bag.

No More Rolled Up Edges
I had a plastic pastry mat and the problem with that one was that it didn't lay flat or stay in place while I was rolling out dough. I had to wet the back and stick it to my counter, which didn't always work well. It was also way to big to fit in my sink and because it wasn't flexible enough, I had a difficult time cleaning it. I finally broke down and bought this mat and it is FANTASTIC!!! I love that it stays in place. That is enough to get it 5 stars after the trouble I've had! But it also bends enough to be able to wash it in the sink easily and folds up to store away. And when I take it out of the drawer and unfold it, I'm ready to go. No re-rolling or back-rolling to get it to lay flat. It lays flat every time.I use this mostly for cutting out cookie dough, so I do not know how it holds up to an actual knife. But if you are looking for a nonstick surface for rolling and cutting out cookie dough, this is for you.

This works great for when I make homemade rolls
Yes, this mat is thin, but don't let that discourage you from buying it (how thick to people expect it to be?). It is strong and durable and has very useful measuring guides printed on it. It sticks to the counter with ease, which allows me to knead dough or roll out pie crusts without it moving all over the place. Makes a great non-stick surface for kneading dough on. However, I do need to dust lightly with flour when making pie crust or it will stick a little, but, using this is a whole lot better than doing pie crusts without it.

GRIP AND LET IT ROLL !
Just used this awesome mat. I was so impressed on how it gripped the counter and did not move one bit while rolling out my dough! I was leary of another baking pastry mat, after throwing my first one out the "window"! My older one moved right along in every direction my rolling pin went. This Mat was well worth the money, I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great pastry mat, and clean up was awesome, just wiped off mat after putting food in oven, then washed it in mild soap and water. Dried and stored away! Thumbs up Welbake!

Rolling has never been easier!
I fell in love with this mat after my first use the other day. The back is remarkably sticky, and there's no way this is going to move around on you while you're working. Heck, you'll have to peel it off your counter to clean it!I rolled out a 13" circle of pastry dough for a tart, and I had absolutely no trouble. The dough stuck to this mat less than it did to my Teflon-coated rolling pin! I can't go back, and I'll be using this mat from here on out, every time I have to roll something out.

Love this mat
It's very thin, and that's a good thing. It lays perfectly flat on my counter and doesn't move at all, no matter how much pressure you roll with. I would reccoment it to anyone. You can leave it on the counter or roll it up and put it away, it rolls up nicely and doesn't curl or fight with you when to want it to lay flat again. A very well thought out product. The measurment circle is very helpful.

Surprisingly good if a bit overpriced
This mat has worked out better than expected so far. I’ve used it for bread dough, pizza dough and shortcut pastry and it’s been fairly non stick with all of them so far, requiring only the bare minimum of flour. It’s good if not brilliant at staying attached to my kitchen worktop; it certainly doesn’t slip while rolling or kneading dough, although it is a bit prone to scrunching up when dough is pulled off it - it feels like it should have been a little stiffer (or perhaps thicker), although the flexibility makes it easy to roll up and store in a drawer. The various measurement scales are useful, especially the circles when it comes to making pizza. The somewhat steep price is probably the only real downside, although the quality is at least good.

works for me
Done some pizza and pastry on it, definitely non stick, in fact, I miss, banging a dusting of flour on.Just put some on pin.It has the useful size gauge on it. Non slip, I clean it with a scour pad , dry with some paper towel, and roll it away.Previously I used a large glass pastry board, with all the delights of handling that. I have checked and, the glass one is the same dimensions as this mat. Perfect size for home use.So, its unbreakable, stores away nicely ,and is non stick.Oh, and you get a pink spatula. I would prefer one black, with the Jolly Roger on it.

Excellent for rolling out pizza dough
Love this product, has made rolling out pizza dough a doddle with the measurements, pastry too. The best thing about it is it just rolls away and can be stored neatly. Flour tends to be attracted to stay on the silicone and when you think you have washed it well can still feel a little 'powdery.' I recommend running it under a tap and then hanging to dry, I then roll it up (retain the tissue that comes with it) it makes rolling it much easier.Would highly recommend this product, so much easier than a pastry board to store and the measurements are invaluable.

Non-slide yes, non-stick NO, requires flour dusting EVERY time!
The description clearly says "For perfect pastry, dough or similar prep without the need for flour dustings." But that's not true. I have used this several times now and every single time I try to roll out pastry dough (chilled pre-made) it completely sticks to the mat and I have to scrape it off, wash it, flour it and start again. I thought perhaps I had to "prime" it somehow, but no, it should just work out of the box. I have cleaned it thoroughly and it works if I flour generously, but non-stick? I don't think so! Still, the template measurements are useful, it doesn't slide about, and it keeps my worktop from getting too messy, so I have given it "average" 3-star rating.

Good sheet for making pizzas.
Good sized sheet. I use it on my kitchen worktop, for mixing dough for pizzas, and for shaping pizzas. I find it doesn’t move at all when I’m using it. I still sprinkle flour onto it, when I’m kneading my dough. Definitely worth buying . Saves you having to worry about any cleaning products you’ve used on the worktop being absorbed into your dough. The circular size images on the sheet are handy when your shaping your pizzas.
