Great for ps5 (not sure abt other consoles but it should work)
Works amazing I put this on my ps5 to connect my speaker and it’s so fire, definitely would recommend if you wanna add Bluetooth devices to your console, just hold the button on the usb until it flashes and put ur speaker close to the usb so it connects automatically, then it should work fine after just make sure u don’t have anything connected to that Bluetooth device at the time you’re using it so you don’t have any issues, if it disconnects try turning both speaker and console off and try again, would definitely recommend buying this, I didn’t believe it at first but it’s genuinely a blessing.

Works with Wireless Razer Headset and PS5
Works exactly as intended with my Hello Kitty Wireless Razer Headset! Instructions were clear, just had to mess with my PS5 audio settings to ensure that the mic, the audio in the headset and the input/output settings were correct. Saved me from having to send that headset back!

Avantree is toilet
This is the second Avantree product we've bought, and both have been trash. I've been using it non-stop (daily) and it is consistently a terrible experience, every single time. I've been using it daily for 5-6 weeks at this point. The connections are not stable at all, distance is not a factor. I've tried at 1 foot, 5 feet, 10 feet, in another room, across the house. Always bad. Also, the device is powered off between uses for average 16 hours each time, due to the Playstation powered off when not in use (not in sleep standby mode). Power cycles while in use (unplug, wait, return) do nothing and experience is not improved. There is often constant static background or foreground noise (or both), very unstable connections, sudden bursts of louder sound (volume increase). It sometimes won't connect at all or gets disconnected. It occasionally has audio lag. These are specific issues with this product. Four different sets of headphones, three different brands, including Bose QE II, Bose QC 45, Skullcandy, and one of my kids headsets. None of these headsets have problems with any other device - they only have problems when connected to Avantree products. This one was actually purchased by mistake, and I was tired and didn't notice. The other Avantree product we already own is markedly worse, so I would not have bought this one intentionally.I definitely will never buy another Avantree product, and I tell everyone to to avoid them.

Works well on ps5
This device works nearly flawlessly. After initial pairing, simply unplug or plug in to stop or start using.I did end up returning only because for the price I can get whatever new bluetooth codes that this doesn't support.I was happy with it's performance(Original review)I bought this for a ps5, and while I have only tried it initially to see if it works properly, I am quite happy with this product.I put my headphones on pair, plugged the receiver it into the ps5 and they paired.Loaded up some streaming services to check on audio synch and found it to be perfect.I then unplugged it put the USB adapter on it and plugged it into the back USB, with the device sitting on top of the console. Worked exactly the same. Paired immediately. Flawless audio, nothing out of synch.I also tried the included microphone, which worked perfectly fine.I will change this review if anything changes, but this is a pretty good product.

PS5 wireless audio works but with quirks
I bought this for our PS5 so we could have wireless headphones--two headphones in fact for two player games. For the most part they work great, no noticeable lag, and reliably reconnect. I have tried the following devices:- Soundcore noise cancelling over ear phones -- these are the ideal solution because they have volume buttons.- Air Pods pro (2nd gen) -- these DO NOT work. They will disconnect after a few minutes. This is an Apple defect for pairing with certain Bluetooth devices, which they have yet to fix.- Air Pods pro (1st gen) -- these work but the lack of volume control and reconnecting is problematic (see below)Below are things to be aware of with using this and PS5.SOUND QUALITY and DUAL CONNECTIONGenerally it is easy to pair two devices for the first time. I have noticed that the audio sometimes echoes (like you are in a metal box) when two headphones are connected. Not sure if this is the game, the wireless connection in general, or only happens when you have two as we have observed. It is not constant and maybe happens a few times each hour of play so certainly livable, but strange. I will update this comment if I learn more.VOLUMEWhen you have headphones or ear buds that do not have a volume control, you must control the volume using the PS5 menu. When one person has integrated volume controls and the other does not, you need to adjust to PS5 to suite the second person and then the one with volume controls can adjust to their liking (the volume of the PS5 will affect BOTH people if they are on one Avantree.) Keep in mind that volume controls are profile specific and that by default player ONE is controlling the volume for both headphones, so you will need to adjust player ONE. Player 2 can "take over" volume control but then it will be using their profile's settings, so you would ideally need to make both profiles work the same.MICROPHONEThe Avantree cannot use the wireless microphone built into your headphones or earbuds. Actually, it can but it will switch to a lower-quality audio feed whenever you speak. This is due to Bluetooth limitations and not specific to Avantree, but nonetheless it can be annoying. If you need a microphone what I recommend is to switch the PS5 to use the controller microphone. You may need to do this every time you play (see PS5 Preference). There are various microphone options on the Avantree itself you can read about if you have different needs.RECONNECTIONAs with most Bluetooth situations, your headphones will reconnect to the last device you used. If you have a dedicated pair of headphones or earbuds for the Avantree/PS5, you will have no problems. But if you use the same pair with multiple devices (say a phone, watch, and PS5) then you will run into preference issues. This is not specific to Avantree but it more noticeable with Avantree-like devices because you don't have nice menu to force the connection, such as on a phone. You may have to play with the other device settings (e.g. tell the phone/watch not to connect automatically) to have a smooth operation. The only way to force reconnection on the Airpods for me was to turn off the Bluetooth on the phone and watch, then disconnect the Avantree and plug it back in. That would force the Airpods to find it again and reconnect. Another way is to go through the pairing process again. I give this example just so you know there might be some challenges getting it to all work the way you intend.PS5 PREFERENCEHaving any audio device plugged into the PS5 will cause it to default to that device. That means every time you turn the PS5 on, it will; default to using the Avantree regardless if you have the headphones on or not (PS5 just sees the Avantree and not the headphones on the other side). So you will need to manually switch it to your external speakers if you don't want headphones, every time, or just simply unplug the Avantree to force PS5to auto-switch. This also applies to the microphone setting. I like to leave the Avantree plugged in so you can also change a setting in the PS5 audio setup so it remembers the last audio device and doesn't automatically switch. Pick whichever process works for you.Overall, this works fine for our needs so I like the product. It's quirkiness is mostly due to how Bluetooth works and specific vendor issues, such as for Apple Air Pods Pro 2nd Gen (not compatible at this time).
