Had to install with the Schluter ditra membrane, this was a good alternate and worked out fine with better price then their products

Great alternative to the Schluter brand. I used it with the schluter foam shower tray.

The product is good as competitors similar product. I prefer the square stainless drain screen, looks decent.

I do like the 2 piece design of this system. Unfortunately if you start the slope flush with the top of the drain body, your lateral drain section will be too high. The metal drain assembly doesn't screw down far enough for 3/8" tile. I had to modify the lateral drain by turning it upside down and cutting the flange so it sits inside the lower drain body instead of on top of it, then silicon into place. Considering the lower drain is water tight with your membrane, the upper section and metal drain are merely decorative, so this modification will work. I recommend starting your mud bed atleast 1/2 inch higher than the lower drain flange.

Get material but the flange does not work for a 6inch drain grate. The inset in the flange to slope the grate correctly is too small.

This is awesome, it was purchased for a rental apartment. The hair catcher is really key and the aesthetic is great. Works very well and easy to install and clean.
