Nice broad bottom boils water fast. Never whistles with the amount of water I like to use. But I'm not using it un-attended. On the contrary this beautiful teapot will be central to a ceremony.The quality seem very good. The lid fits snuggly and I can place a thermometer through the lid hole.The handle is not lose or floppy but sturdy and tight enough to aid in grip control.I've been using a small alcohol stove outdoors to make 6 cups of tea directly in the pot.

The way the spout is mounted to the side, it's slightly raised on the inside. The problem with this is when you rinse the inside of the pot you can never drain all the water out. There is a deep rim around the top and the "mount bump" on the inside makes it the highest part on the inside . Second problem, since it's a spout, the whistle hole is in the lid. Only works when the pot is almost completely full of water. Last problem, the shape of the spout makes it "gulp air" as you are pouring, so the flow out of the spout isn't consistent, it "bounces" up and down while the pot gulps for air. You can take the lid off... and burn your hand with the steam. Handle stays cool. very pretty. tea basket is large and deep so great for tea IF you could clean it properly.

I love this little thing. It looks nice out on the stove, or literally anywhere. Heats up quick. A great gift to get your special lady friend. Its not a huge capacity but perfect for making a couple cups of something hot just for a couple . My children are always making tea and noodles so, its giftable for a college student or an elderly person, or an independent person with a buys lifestyle.

It is very sharp looking! The colors are better than the picture. It doesn’t whistle very loud, but my wife loves it and so do I.

It does not whistle, but it is a good kettle and I love the infuser basket. I have used it for tea bags and loose leaf.

Very pretty, easy to clean. Small kettle that doesn’t hold a lot of water. Spills out the spout once boiling if you overfill. Enough water for 1-1.5 mugs of water.
