Nice bead, great spacer size

Bought this mix over another similar color mix because this seemed to have a more equal distribution of colors. It arrived today and while it is really pretty and the beads themselves do look pretty true to the photo, the ratio is really off. There are hardly any blue beads at all, making this a mostly copper and gold mix. Still very pretty, but not at all what I was hoping for. The blue beads themselves are also somewhat incosistent, size-wise. The holes vary wildly, some not even fitting onto my needle, while others were so loose they slid right off. So really, I won't even be able to use many of the already small number of blue beads. Pretty disappointing.Another thing, some of the clear/gold-lined beads are really yellow. I don't know if they were intentionally added to the mix to brighten it up or what. There aren't enough yellow to make me think that it was an intentional addition, plus they do blend well into the mix and the yellow tone isn't off-putting. Not sure. Just something to note as in low light they just look clear/gold, but in bright lights and/or sunlight, they do look more yellow.I attached two photos, one showing the ratios of colors that I received, and the other taken with flash to show the more yellow beads. If you look at the first low-light photo, they just blend right into the mix.

I thought this would be gold Metal beads instead it's a matt bronzy colour. Even though it wasn't what I was looking for it's still nice for other projects I have in mind.

The colors are beautiful! I'm using these beads to make coasters for my daughter and I didn't do any special pattern that is why I think that they came out so nice.

The picture of these gold beads do not do them justice whatsoever. In my opinion, they’re quite pretty and exceeded my expectations. I’m very picky about gold beads. I prefer for gold beads to be shiny but not brassy or too warm toned (i.e. orangey gold). I also don’t like beads that are supposed to be gold but turn out to be a bright yellow. These beads are shiny, but they also look a bit matte. It’s very hard to explain. When you look at them in the vial, they look slightly matte, but they look shiny in your hand. They’re a very neutral, versatile shade of gold. They look more sophisticated than your average metallic gold beads. For example, this shade looks more similar to KC gold plated than rather than basic gold plated clasps. You know when you order gold jump rings or chain, and you cringe when you get the package? This is NOT the case with these beads. They’re not the kind of gold that looks cheap or will just rub off in your hands. I bought these beads many years ago locally, and they still look pretty on the crocheted necklace I made with them over a decade ago. That craft store no longer sells beads, and it’s very hard to find Beader’s Paradise brand where I live.I’ll update this review if my opinion changes, but these are the nicest gold glass seed beads I’ve found so far in my 20+ years of jewelry making. They’re well worth the price. Everybody’s taste is different, especially when it comes to gold. I tend to prefer silver, and I love this shade of gold. It’s definitely worth trying if you’re on the fence about it.
